  • Publication number: 20220387743
Abstract: A patient interface for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a nasal prong assembly including a pair of nasal prongs structured to sealingly communicate with nasal passages of a patient's nose in use and headgear to maintain the nasal prong assembly in a desired position on the patient's face. The headgear includes side straps and rigidizers provided to respective side straps. Each rigidizer includes a first end portion that provides a connector structured to engage a respective end of the nasal prong assembly and an inwardly curved protrusion in the form of a cheek support that curves inwardly of the connector. The cheek support is adapted to follow the contour of the patient's cheek and guide a respective end portion of the side strap into engagement with the patient's cheek to provide a stable cheek support.

  • Publication number: 20220370773
Abstract: An apparatus includes a chamber container and a tray. The chamber container has a first portion and a second portion removably coupled to the first portion. The first and second portions collectively define an inner volume. The tray is configured to be removably disposed within the inner volume of the chamber container. The tray includes a first portion and a second portion coupled to the first portion via a hinge. The first portion includes a first retention surface. The second portion includes a second retention surface. The tray is configured to receive a biodiffusion chamber between the first portion and the second portion such that the first retention surface and the second retention surface engage a portion of the biodiffusion chamber to (1) place the biodiffusion chamber in a predetermined orientation and (2) maintain the biodiffusion chamber in a substantially fixed position relative to the tray.

  • Patent number: 11499653
Abstract: A pull head assembly for quick attachment to a flexible pipe is provided. The pull head assembly has three subsections. A collet assembly is mounted to the end of a flexible pipe. A mandrel assembly is adapted to go over the collet assembly. A lead screw assembly positions the mandrel assembly over the collet assembly and acts as an attachment point for pulling the flexible pipe and pull head assembly from one location to another. After pulling the flexible pipe and pull head assembly from one location to another, the mandrel assembly and lead screw assembly can be removed, and the collet assembly can act as a temporary fitting for the flexible pipe.

  • Publication number: 20220360895
Abstract: An integrated audio microphone system simultaneously provides in-room amplification and remote communication during a collaboration session with one or more local participants in a shared space and one or more remote participants. The integrated audio microphone system includes at least one microphone array and speaker system located in the shared space, at least one microphone system for amplification located in the shared space, an audio processor connected to the microphone system and the microphone array and speaker system, and a computer connected to the audio processor. The audio processor is configured to generate a plurality of virtual microphone bubbles and to amplify received audio signals from the microphone system for in-room audio amplification. The amplified audio signals are output to speakers of the microphone array and speaker system. Audio signals from the microphone system and the arrays of microphones are output to the computer to send the audio signals to one or more remote participants.

  • Publication number: 20220330793
Abstract: Disclosed are medical examination or diagnostic instruments and methods of operating such instruments. The method can include coupling an instrument head to a handle to form a medical examination or diagnostic instrument; detecting by the instrument head, a characteristic of the handle; and based at least in part on detecting the characteristic of the handle, determining, by the instrument head, a handle type associated with the handle, or detecting by the handle, a characteristic of the instrument head, and based at least in part on detecting the characteristic of the instrument head, an instrument head type associated with the instrument head. In some implementations, the emission of light can be controlled to be approximately linear in relation to a user input signal, as perceived by a user.
