  • Publication number: 20180098848
Abstract: Delivery devices for delivery of a stented prosthetic heart valve. Various delivery devices include an outer sheath assembly including an outer sheath connected to a capsule that is advanced proximally to retain the prosthetic valve, which is secured over an inner shaft assembly of the delivery device. The delivery device further includes a bumper to provide a smooth transition of the capsule over the prosthetic valve during loading and recapture procedures. The bumper is expandable from a first position to a second position in which a distal end of the bumper is expanded to increase its diameter. The bumper can be biased in the second, expanded position so that the bumper automatically transitions to the expanded position upon retraction of the outer sheath.

  • Publication number: 20180103248
Abstract: An imaging sensor produces spatiotemporal measurement sets of distinct sensing zones of the imaging sensor. A multifocal lens directs electromagnetic radiation from distinct three-dimensional spatial zones to distinct sensing zones. A focus analyzer processes the spatiotemporal measurement sets to determine a sequence of in-focus status of the distinct sensing zones independent of other distinct sensing zones. A displacement processor generates object displacement vector(s) based on a sequence of in-focus status indicative of an object moving between distinct three-dimensional spatial zones.

  • Publication number: 20180025350
Abstract: A method for performing a point of sale transaction can include determining that a mobile payment device is within a predetermined distance of a merchant terminal. The processor of the mobile payment device can obtain digital wallet information associated with the user of the mobile payment device. The processor can generate a plurality of pulses from the digital wallet information. The plurality of pulses can encode payment card information expected by the merchant terminal for the point of sale transaction. The processor can instruct a haptic actuator of the mobile payment device to generate a plurality of tactile pulses such that each tactile pulse of the plurality of tactile pulses corresponds to a pulse of the plurality of pulses.

  • Publication number: 20150019313
Abstract: A transaction qualification service, based on rules from an offers registry database, determines whether at least one promotion code is applicable to an on-line transaction. If so, the at least promotion code is provided to a merchant, prior to payment card authorization, clearing, and settlement for the on-line transaction. The at least one promotion code includes an alphanumeric character sequence that is not visible to the consumer.

  • Publication number: 20140372180
Abstract: A system, a method, and a computer program product provide competitive data to a subscribing merchant regarding customers of the subscribing merchant and competing peer merchants. A computing device loads at least one microsegment hold table. The microsegment hold table is previously generated from demographic attributes regarding a plurality of individuals. The computing device identifies hashed recognition IDs associated with payment transactions completed at the subscribing merchant and competing peer merchants. The microsegment hold table and identified hashed recognition IDs are merged to generate a microsegment summary file. The microsegment summary file is transferred. The microsegment summary file and a microsegment definition file are merged to create a summary file indicating a number of identified recognition IDs associated with various statistics.

  • Patent number: 8788333
Abstract: An electronic wallet platform obtains, from a check-out web page of a merchant, (i) a unique identification of a given consumer, of a plurality of consumers, who is purchasing at least one item from the merchant in an on-line transaction, and (ii) associated transaction data. The electronic wallet platform supplies, to a transaction qualification service, the unique identification of the given consumer; and retrieves, from a consumer enrollment database, a record wherein at least one useful token is stored in association with the unique identification of the given consumer. The transaction qualification service determines, based on rules from an offers registry database, whether the at least one useful token is applicable to the on-line transaction.

  • Patent number: 8742933
Abstract: An attention assistance device configured to help maintain a user's focus on a given task. In one embodiment, text is presenting to a user on a touchscreen. The user tracking the text using a finger is monitored. The user is stimulated when the finger stops tracking the text for a predetermined period of time. In another embodiment, an electronic device presents an output configured to be tracked by a user. A monitoring device observes the user tracking the output. A sensory stimulating device stimulates the user when the “tracking” falls below an attention threshold.

  • Patent number: 8713831
Abstract: A firearm has an off-trigger locator and/or guide path. The off-trigger locator may be a depression or a convexity formed on a side of a frame of the firearm adjacent a trigger of the firearm, and may further include a raised portion. The off-trigger locator is configured to allow a user of the firearm to move between the off-trigger locator and the trigger, as necessary, for instance, as the user goes between non-firing and firing conditions. The guide position may comprise a groove or raised ridge formed on a frame of the firearm adjacent a trigger of the firearm and extending from the frame of the firearm into a trigger area adjacent the trigger. The guide path is configured to allow the user to move along the guide path away from and into the trigger area, as necessary, for instance, as the user goes between non-firing and firing conditions.

Abstract: An off-trigger locator for firearm comprises an elongated member adapted to mounted to a frame of the firearm adjacent a trigger of the firearm. The member is configured to allow a user of the firearm to sense the member with a trigger finger of the user and to move the trigger finger between the member and the trigger without significant movement of a hand of the user. The member comprises longitudinally opposite first and second ends with longitudinal sides extending between the longitudinally opposite ends. A locator surface is arranged between the longitudinal sides. The longitudinal side adjacent the trigger of the firearm forms a shoulder. The other longitudinal side is spaced from the shoulder by the locator surface. The width of the member at the shoulder is greater than the width of the member at the other longitudinal side. A method of mounting the off-trigger locator is provided.

  • Publication number: 20140047756
Abstract: A firearm has a barrel with an open front sight located on a muzzle end of the barrel and a rear sight located on the barrel a distance away from the front sight. The front and rear sight cooperate with each to enable a user to aim the firearm. The front sight has a first targeting indicia with a center. The rear sight has targeting indicia that cooperates with the front sight first targeting indicia to allow the user to aim the firearm. The front sight has second targeting indicia comprising a scribe line at the center of the first targeting indicia. The scribe line is visible from the rear sight when the front sight first targeting indicia and rear sight targeting indicia are brought into register.
