  • Patent number: 9213682
Abstract: A method for creating a conforming business document by auditing is provided. The method may include creating at least one presentation rule. The presentation rules may govern the some or all of the parameters of the elements in a presentation. A business document may be compiled from multiple data sources or existing documents. The existing documents are preferably created within a conforming template but may be non-conforming. A conforming template may follow the presentation rules. Software may be used to construct the business document which may be in the form of slides. The software may be augmented by a plug-in. The plug-in may scan the business document. The plug-in may allow the user to select some or all of the presentation rules that have been broken in an auditing panel. The plug-in may edit the slide so that the slide conforms to the selected presentation rules.

  • Patent number: 9069812
Abstract: A method for creating an integrated business document with updates is provided. The method may include creating at least one input document. Input documents may be comprised of assets. Assets may be data presentation items such as graphs, charts or tables. Source documents may be stored in an asset library. Software may be used to construct an integrated business document which may be in the form of slides. The software may be augmented by a plug-in. The plug-in may provide access to assets from the asset library. The plug-in may allow the user to select assets and integrate them into a business document. The integrated business documents (or slides) may be stored in a presentation library. The presentation library may allow a user to update the assets in the integrated business document using currently available data.

  • Publication number: 20100212858
Abstract: An improved electrical-utility steam-turbine power-plant cooling system including a condenser with heat-exchange surfaces and cooling means. The cooling means has a closed-loop system with an intake, a discharge and a cooling portion. Substantially all of the cooling portion is tunneling beneath the surface of the Earth. Water substantially fills the closed-loop system and a pump facilitates flow through the closed-loop system whereby water flows through the tunneling and is geothermally cooled.

  • Patent number: 5803740
Abstract: A learning and assessment aid (10) for helping visually impaired individuals develop desirable ambulatory motion habits. The learning aid includes a housing (14) designed to be attached to an article of clothing worn by the individual. Internal to the housing is an inertial transducer (16) that monitors the rotation of the housing and the individual. The individual enters commands to the learning aid through a keypad (20) in response to audible instructions generated over a speaker (22). To foster desirable turning motions, the learning aid informs of the extent to which the individual turns. To foster straight-line walking, the learning aid generates a message over the speaker whenever the individual rotates more than a pre-set individual-entered maximum veer.
