    Abstract: A shampoo composition comprises:(a) a surfactant which is chosen from anionic, nonionic or amphoteric surfactants or mixtures thereof;(b) an aqueous emulsion of a solution of highly viscous silicone in volatile solvent; and(c) a cationic conditioning polymer which is a cationic derivative of guar gum;wherein the average particle size of the highly viscous silicone in the composition is less than 2 .mu.m in diameter.
