Abstract: Accordingly, the invention provides a process for the preparation of an artificial latex, comprising the steps: (a) emulsification of a cement comprising a rubber dissolved in a suitable organic solvent, together with an aqueous surfactant solution, thus forming an oil-in-water emulsion; (b) step-wise reduction of the solvent content of the oil-in-water emulsion in two or more stages resulting in an artificial latex. In addition, the invention provides a continuous stirred vessel for removing an organic solvent from an oil-in-water emulsion comprising rubber dissolved in an organic solvent.

Abstract: A mailing machine is provided with a removable control panel device that is repositionable thereby enabling the operator to position the control panel device to face in different directions with respect to the mailing machine. The repositioning of the control panel device allows an operator to clearly view a display on the device from any work area of the mailing machine. For example, if an operator is standing near an input end of the mailing machine, the control panel device can be rotated such that it can be viewed by the operator while standing near the input end of the mailing machine.

Abstract: A flexible therapeutic magnetic sheet, e.g., fabricated from randomly-distributed ferromagnetic particles mixed in a plastic resin and formed into a sheet. A magnetic field is applied to the sheet to permanently magnetize the sheet according to a spiral pattern. The spiral pattern comprises a Northern pole spiral interlaced with a spiral pole Southern. When the therapeutic sheet is applied to the skin of a person or an animal, the ions and electrolytes in the blood traverse alternating polarity magnetic fields. The alternating polarity magnetic fields exert magnetic forces in alternating directions on the ions and electrolytes in the blood, thus generating heat in the blood vessels and increasing the blood circulation.
