  • Patent number: 4250662
Abstract: Remnants of incense cedar timbers, including bark, sawdust, woodchips and the like, when ground together form a composition useful in enhancing the growth of many species of desirable vegetation, including flowers, grass, shrubs and decorative plants. The ground incense cedar timber remnants aid significantly in the retention of moisture which can be extracted by the root systems of plants for nourishment. The ground composition of incense cedar timber remnants also retards the growth of weeds, inhibits the growth of fungi and suppresses infestation of the plants by harmful pests, such as insects.
