Abstract: A system an method provide for user interaction document processing via event generation and processing. An underlying document is displayed and worked with (ranging from a blank document, or a presentation display of a non-blank document or an image of anything relative to which a user can make annotations that can result in a respective combined display presentation of the underlying image combined with the selected ones of the annotations). The annotations to be displayed are selected by criteria such as user, time, location, etc. A combined display presentation is generated responsive to respective display presentation data, and is associated with and representative of a specific combination view of edit events. A second version of a display presentation can be provided by selecting the events associated with a respective one or more users' annotations to form a selected set that is used to generate said display presentation data.

Abstract: A system and methodology for collaborating. The system and method utilize a plurality of computing appliances, each assigned a respective team designation and a respective role designation. Team control logic is responsive to a respective said team designation, to control operation of each respective said computing appliance to operate as a part of a group. Within a defined Team, the plurality of computing appliances operate having a defined set of roles. Role control logic controls operations of a respective one of the computing appliances in accordance with functionality as defined responsive to the respective said role designation for that respective one of the plurality of computing appliances. Each of the plurality of computing appliances is assigned a respective team designation and a respective role designation. Memory storage is structured as a plurality of mapped data layers, for associative storage of user input mapped by user to a respective one of the data layers.

Each computing appliance comprised of a display apparatus providing a display presentation. The system is comprised of a memory providing storage structured as a plurality of areas of memory, each associated with one said computing appliance; a source of user data having an associated image, provided responsive to user input at said computing appliance that is associated with said user providing the user input, and display logic generating comprising a combined display presentation as the display presentation provided on the display apparatus of at least one said computing appliance. The memory provides storage of the user data in the area of memory that is associated with said computing appliance that is associated with said user providing the user input.

The system is comprised of a plurality of display computing appliances, each associated with a respective one of at least two users of a plurality of users. Layer storage and control logic is comprised of memory structured as at least two separate respective data layers of data storage for associative storage of user (image) data mapped to the respective user providing the respective input. Each said separate respective data layer of data storage is comprised of respective user data associated with a respective user of the plurality of users. Abstract: A workstation system produces a display presentation responsive to composition data and responsive to input variables and/or a selected operating mode. A selection subsystem determines a selected operating mode and display format. Abstract: An adapter interface apparatus has a user input device and an associated video display. The user selects a distinguishable visual image representation for association into an audiovisual presentation, such as where that user is identified. For example, color, size graphics or shape can be used to distinguish users. In one embodiment a digitized image of each user's face is used as the distinguishable representation. Alternatively, the user can create an original image or select one of a predetermined set of visual images as the user's identification for use in the audiovisual presentation. In one embodiment, the adapter interface is coupled to an audiovisual presentation system and a storage card containing User Images. The adapter interface system integrates a selected User Image from the Storage Card into the audiovisual presentation.
