The weigh scale broadly comprises a platform, having at least one load sensor coupled thereto, large enough to allow a user to comfortably step onto it and position himself or herself to be weighed, an upright support structure secured to the platform so that the user may steady himself or herself while being weighed, a fold-away seat secured to the support structure so that the user may sit while being weighed, and a display for displaying the weight measured.
