  • Publication number: 20230321466
Abstract: A compact, mask-mountable powered air purifying respirator (“PAPR”) includes a housing and an impeller driven by a motor to draw air in through an inlet in the housing and direct the air to an outlet at an opposite end of the housing. The impeller comprises S-shaped fan blades that direct the air radially outward from the bottom of the impeller. The radial airflow meets S-shaped fins on a flow straightener that redirect the airflow downward through the PAPR housing outlet. The fan blades and flow straightener drive the airflow directly and efficiently, without unnecessary travel of air through the PAPR assembly, thus providing an improved airflow efficiency.

  • Patent number: 11246304
Abstract: A method of inhibiting dry material clogs in a work vehicle having an air boom assembly includes moving the work vehicle at a vehicle speed along a ground surface, moving dry material from a holding tank onto a conveyor, and operating the conveyor at a conveyor speed, the conveyor speed being at least partially dependent upon the vehicle speed, moving material from the conveyor into a boom assembly with a blower, dispensing the dry material onto the ground surface through a plurality of nozzles of the boom assembly, and comparing the conveyor speed to a maximum acceptable conveyor speed. If the conveyor speed is greater than the maximum acceptable conveyor speed, the method includes performing at least one of the following: alerting the operator that the conveyor speed is greater than the maximum acceptable speed, and reducing the vehicle speed to thereby reduce the speed of the conveyor.

  • Publication number: 20210318284
Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring plant leaf gas exchange based on instantaneous mass balance in the sample chamber. The response of leaf net assimilation rate (Anet) to computed leaf internal CO2 concentration (C1) is measured by continuously varying the input CO2 concentration and measuring the continuous difference between chamber input (reference) and output (sample) concentrations to compute a continuous series of Anet values, which can then be plotted against computed Ci. When combined with a similar response test using an empty chamber test to allow for sample chamber mixing and/or gas analyzer match dynamics and/or small flow-related residual time delays, such method provides accurate and rapid A Ci response (RACiR) curves in a much shorter time than conventional methods.
