  • Patent number: 10539955
Abstract: A system is provided for integrating failure data for different failure analysis layouts. The system includes a data validator and layout engine. The data validator is configured to validate failure analysis data for a complex system including a plurality of systems. The failure analysis data includes failure data identifying failed systems, and design data describing the complex system and possible failures of at least some of its systems. In this regard, the data validator is configured to perform one or more consistency checks between the failure data and design data to thereby integrate the failure data for a plurality of different failure analysis layouts. The layout engine is in turn configured to selectively generate and communicate any one or more of the plurality of different layouts of the failure analysis data, with at least some of the failure analysis data being shared between at least some of the different layouts.

  • Publication number: 20180100868
Abstract: A sample tube includes a barcode split into components at the bottom of the sample tube. Each barcode component stores less than the full data output from the barcode, but the components combine to full data output. Redundant diagonal components provide for error checking. A center region between the barcode components supports an electrical circuit or an optical or acoustic window. The sample tube may have a sidewall with a substantially cylindrical open end and non-cylindrical end closed with a bottom, the non-cylindrical end orienting the sample tube in a rack. Additional non-cylindrical surfaces are provided to orient the sample tube relative to complementary surfaces at a gripper. The sample tube of a particular application is positioned in an acoustic dispensing system where acoustic waves are transmitted through a center window for surveying and dispensing.

  • Patent number: 9418214
Abstract: In the present invention systems and methods to perform the biometric anonymous enrollment of an individual into an anonymous biometric engine are disclosed. An enrollment authority or client verifies the credentials of an individual and collects the biographic/demographic and biometric information. The biographic demographic information is stored by the enrollment authority and a token is generated for the individual; the biometric information and the token are sent to a biometric engine for storage. The stored information may be used to identify or verify individuals.

  • Publication number: 20160226867
Abstract: A system and method for cloud-based biometric enrollment, identification and verification are disclosed. More specifically, a cloud-based system and method is used for enrollment of biometric templates. An identity provider serves as an interface between a service provider and a biometric engine. Identity provider employs an open standards protocol such as Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) or OpenID to exchange authentication data between the service provider and the biometric engine. Service provider employs embedded and/or externally attached hardware in client computing devices for capturing biometric probes and client identity information. Subsequently, biometric engine generates biometric templates from the captured biometric probes and enrolls biometric templates and client identity information for use in identification and authentication in a subsequent transaction.

  • Publication number: 20160226868
Abstract: A system and method for enabling out of band biometric verification is disclosed. The system includes a biometric engine coupled with an interactive messaging system and configured as an identity provider. The biometric identity provider includes a biometric enrollment process using open standard authentication protocols. The identity provider may answer calls generated by a service provider for biometric verification request for a user by sending an interactive message to a wireless mobile device associated to the user. The user captures and sends a biometric input to the identity provider. Biometrics provided by a user are compared by the biometric engine against biometric templates stored for that user in order to verify the user. The identity provider then sends a response back to the service provider. The service provider may grant or deny services to a user depending on the response.

  • Patent number: 9286528
Abstract: The present invention provides techniques for efficient searching of a multi-modal biometric database. Nested searching improves search efficiency by using the results of a previous biometric modality search to limit the search population for subsequent biometric searches. The method can also be used in combinations of non-biometric searches limiting subsequent biometric searches or vice versa.

  • Patent number: 9268904
Abstract: A structured query language (SQL) relational database management system (SQL RDBMS) may integrate a biometric subsystem to process and manage biometric data separately from the demographic data stored in normalized SQL tables of the SQL RDBMS. The SQL RDBMS may be operatively connected to the biometric subsystem by means of SQL extensions. The SQL RDBMS may execute queries with demographic and/or biometric constraints, wherein the demographic data is retrieved directly from normalized SQL tables on the RDBMS, while the biometric data is retrieved in the form of scores or probabilities from the biometric subsystem. The SQL RDBMS may return a query result set containing demographic data associated with corresponding biometric data, allowing the authentication of biometric clients.

  • Patent number: 9262613
Abstract: This disclosure describes methods for identifying an individual in an anonymous biometric authentication system, where an individual's biometric data is captured by a device, and the resulting probe is compared with the templates in a previously enrolled population. The system comprises a Biographic Identity Management System having a non-anonymous sector in communication with an anonymous sector through a network cloud. The anonymous sector or Anonymous Biometric Identity Management System contains an index of tokens associated, each associated uniquely with a biometric template, which may then be compared with a biometric probe to determine the identity of an individual.

  • Publication number: 20150132728
Abstract: A transportable fire training apparatus includes a trailer frame having a rear raised section at a rear end of the trailer frame and an unraised section at a middle portion of the trailer frame, a shell attached to the trailer frame and partitioned into a plurality of training rooms, a rear multi-axle wheel set disposed below, and attached to, the rear raised section of the trailer frame via an air ride suspension system that raises the trailer frame relative to the a rear multi-axle wheel set in response to pressurization of the air ride suspension system. The unraised section of the trailer frame rides substantially above the ground when the air ride suspension system is in a pressurized state and rests on the ground when the air ride suspension system is in an unpressurized state. A method for deploying and using the transportable fire training apparatus is also disclosed herein.

  • Patent number: 8887259
Abstract: The present invention discloses an anonymous biometric verification system and method. In an embodiment of the invention, the system comprises a non-anonymous sector that retrieves biometric data (probes) by using biometric client(s). A unique identifier (“token”) is retrieved from a database that contains biographic and demographic data associated to the token, but without comprising the biographic or demographic data. The biometric data in form of template(s) along with the token are then sent via a cloud network to an anonymous sector. A query router, located at the non-anonymous sector may receive probes with the token and send them to one or more biometric query engine(s), wherein query engine(s) may either work in stripped or mirrored operation mode. Query engine(s) may search for location of template(s) in a templates database linked to a query search engine.

  • Publication number: 20140317100
Abstract: The present disclosure may describe systems and methods for allowing real-time biometric matching. A real-time biometric system may include elements such as one or more biometric clients, a cloud network, a query router, an IP network, and one or more query engines associated with corresponding template data caches. During a biometric matching process, a template data manager (TDM) integrated in query engine may use memory maps for real-time retrieval and comparison of biometric templates. The comparison process may generate a biometric score that may be returned to biometric client indicating a successful or fail match. In addition, template data caches may include indexes with non-biometric metadata to filter associated biometric templates during a biometric matching process. TDM may operate with a plug-in architecture for allowing integration of different modalities of biometric algorithms.
