  • Publication number: 20250112572
Abstract: We describe a method and controller for controlling an axial flux machine in which an alternating current or voltage supplied to the plurality of coils injects a compensation signal to generate mechanical vibrations in the axial flux machine. The compensation signal is applied in response to detecting one or more mechanical resonances in the axial flux machine that are at frequencies that are different to a principal mechanical resonant frequency of the axial flux machine. One or more characteristics of the one or more mechanical resonances in the axial flux machine are identified, and in response to the identification of the one or more characteristics, the compensation signal is adjusted. The mechanical vibrations generated by the compensation signal and the adjusted compensation signal are for reducing a respective amplitude of one or more of the detected mechanical resonances in the axial flux machine.

  • Publication number: 20240369947
Abstract: A method for reducing sticking of an object to a surface used in a lithography process includes receiving, at a control computer, instructions for a tool configured to modify the surface and forming, in a deterministic manner based on the instructions received at the control computer, a modified surface having a furrow and a ridge, wherein the ridge reduces the sticking by reducing a contact surface area of the modified surface. Another apparatus includes a modified surface that includes furrows and ridges forming a reduced contact surface area to reduce a sticking of an object to the modified surface, the ridges having an elastic property that causes the reduced contact surface area to increase when the plurality of ridges is elastically deformed.

  • Publication number: 20240324152
Abstract: We describe a power converter cooling arrangement in which a base has a top plate of a thermally conductive material, and a bottom plate and side walls define a chamber. An inlet and outlet are in fluid communication with the chamber, and the chamber is flooded with a cooling fluid that flows between the inlet and outlet. A PCB of a power converter is mounted to, and thermally coupled with, the top plate, where the PCB receives a plurality of power modules (that are used in the power conversion). The base comprises a plurality of fluid channels for flowing cooling fluid therethrough. Each of the fluid channels is arranged to coincide with a location of one or more components mounted to the PCB.

  • Publication number: 20240307105
Abstract: Methods and systems for modulating articular branch nerves emanating from sensory and/or motor nerves to treat joint pain. The methods and systems described may be used to modulate (e.g., denervate, ablate) articular branch nerves of, for example, cranial gluteal, femoral, sciatic, and/or obturator nerves, the sensory and/or motor nerves themselves, and/or other nerves innervating a joint. The modulation of these nerves may facilitate treatment of chronic joint pain (e.g., hip) and lameness (e.g., osteoarthritis (OA), degenerative joint disease (DJD), etc.). The modulation may be performed using a neuromodulation device (e.g., an energy delivery device). The device may use bipolar radiofrequency energy to form a linear or arcuate lesion. The lesion may follow curvature of bone, for example in a joint capsule.

  • Patent number: 11972569
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a multi-model object segmentation system that provides a multi-model object segmentation framework for automatically segmenting objects in digital images. In one or more implementations, the multi-model object segmentation system utilizes different types of object segmentation models to determine a comprehensive set of object masks for a digital image. In various implementations, the multi-model object segmentation system further improves and refines object masks in the set of object masks utilizing specialized object segmentation models, which results in more improved accuracy and precision with respect to object selection within the digital image. Further, in some implementations, the multi-model object segmentation system generates object masks for portions of a digital image otherwise not captured by various object segmentation models.

  • Publication number: 20240057303
Abstract: The semiconductor cooling arrangement comprises one or more semiconductor assemblies, a housing, and one or more baffles. Each semiconductor assembly comprises a heatsink, a semiconductor die, an encapsulant, and electrical connections. The semiconductor die is bonded to the heatsink and contains a semiconductor power device. The encapsulant covers the semiconductor die. The side of the heatsink to which the semiconductor die is bonded extends beyond the encapsulant. The electrical connections pass through the encapsulant and to the semiconductor die. The housing has a chamber for housing the one or more assemblies. Each baffle comprises through-holes arranged such that fluid flows through the through-holes to a region of a respective semiconductor assembly to which the semiconductor power device is mounted, or to a region of the heatsink of the semiconductor assembly opposite a location to which the semiconductor power device is mounted.

  • Patent number: 11887881
Abstract: A method of fabricating a substrate table includes supporting a table base and disposing a coating on a surface of the table base. The surface of the table base is substantially flat. The coating has a non-uniform thickness. The coating exerts a stress on the table so as to bend the table base. The non-uniform thickness causes a surface of the coating to become substantially flat after the bending.

  • Publication number: 20240028073
Abstract: The present invention is comprised of a pendant with a wearable display (functional jewelry) and accompanying mobile app that allow users to choose an emoji/image from the app for display on the pendant. The invention will transmit image data (jpegs, gifs) from its mobile app for wireless pickup by the “Emogems” pendant (AMOLED 1.4? round display). One image/emoji will be displayed on the pendant at a time, although the user will be able to replace displayed images at will by making selections from the emoji library on the app. When no emoji is selected, while the display is on, the Emogems logo is visible on the display as a default image. Most images/emoji will be static, but some include animated gifs that animate indefinitely.
