The reference station has a known position. The system also includes a simulator for simulating an augmentation system by determining corrections based on the messages received and the known position of the reference station. The system further includes a monitoring system to render the corrections to a user in a form enabling determination of the usability of the augmentation system in the navigation augmentation environment.

    Abstract: A monoblock ceramic triplexer for connection to an antenna, a transmitter, a receiver and a GPS receiver is described. The triplexer includes a solid, monolithic core of dielectric material defining a plurality of through-holes extending between top and bottom surfaces. The surfaces of the core present a pattern of metallized and unmetallized areas including a relatively expansive metallized area, a transmitter coupling area, first and second receiver coupling areas spaced, an antenna coupling metallized area and an unmetallized area circumscribing at least one of the openings on the top surface. The antenna coupling metallized area includes a top surface extension towards the first receiver coupling area, and the expanded metallized area includes a top surface extension between adjacent resonator through-holes.

    Abstract: A ceramic filter with recessed shield 200 is provided. Filter 200 contains a filter body with a block of dielectric material having a top surface 202, a bottom surface 204, and side surfaces 206, 208, 210 and 212 respectively. Filter 200 also has a plurality of metallized through-holes 214 extending from the top surface 202 to the bottom surface 204 defining resonators. Each of the resonators has a corresponding plurality of embedded receptacles 220, which contain an unmetallized area therein, adjacent to the plurality of metallized through-holes 214, providing a ring of isolation 222. A recessed channel 224 extends perpendicularly across each of the plurality of embedded receptacles 220 and has a groove 226 therein which is complementarily configured to receive a metallic shield 228. The metallic shield 228 is disposed in the recessed channel 224 and is connected to the metallization layer of the plurality of embedded receptacles 220.
