    Abstract: An instrumentation trace capture technique enables software developers to monitor, diagnose and solve errors associated with application development and production. A client library of an investigative platform is loaded in a user application executing on a virtual machine instance of a virtualized computing environment. The client library interacts with an agent of the platform to instrument executable code of the user application and, to that end, loads a capture configuration that specifies, inter alia, methods and associated arguments, variables and data structures (values), to instrument. The client library inspects the executable code to determine portions of the code to instrument based on the capture configuration, which describes a degree of fidelity (e.g., a frequency) of the executable code and data to trace at runtime. Capture points of the runtime application are implemented as callbacks to the client library, which are registered with a runtime system executing the user application.

    Abstract: In some examples, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) may control a position of a first camera to cause the first camera to capture a first image of a target. The UAV may receive a plurality of second images from a plurality of second cameras, the plurality of second cameras positioned on the UAV for providing a plurality of different fields of view in a plurality of different directions around the UAV, the first camera having a longer focal length than the second cameras. The UAV may combine at least some of the plurality of second images to generate a composite image corresponding to the first image and having a wider-angle field of view than the first image. The UAV may send the first image and the composite image to a computing device.

    Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of performing an aggregation-based determination of resiliency of a cloud computing service to chaos events. Chaos events are executed against a cloud computing service during a time frame that includes multiple time periods. For each chaos event, service health indexes (SHIs) that correspond to the time periods are calculated. Each SHI indicates an extent to which indicators, which represent respective measurements of performance of the cloud computing service during the respective time period, satisfy respective criteria. The SHIs for each chaos event are analyzed to provide a respective resiliency score. At least some of the resiliency scores of the respective chaos events are aggregated to provide an aggregated resiliency score, which represents resiliency of the cloud computing service to the chaos events.

    Abstract: A solid state light sheet and method of fabricating the sheet are disclosed. In one embodiment, bare LED chips have top and bottom electrodes, where the bottom electrode is a large reflective electrode. The bottom electrodes of an array of LEDs (e.g., 500 LEDs) are bonded to an array of electrodes formed on a flexible bottom substrate. Conductive traces are formed on the bottom substrate connected to the electrodes. A transparent top substrate is then formed over the bottom substrate. Various ways to connect the LEDs in series are described along with many embodiments. In one method, the top substrate contains a conductor pattern that connects to LED electrodes and conductors on the bottom substrate.
