Patent number: 9003922Abstract: A quick release coupling is incorporated into the drive train of the bicycle to couple the crank to the drive shaft. It includes an axle with a flat keyway facilitating installation. A crank arm has an opening matching the circumference of the shaft other than at the flat area. The opening includes a protrusion engaging the keyway to transmit torque. A land is near an end of the shaft. Each coupling has an opening similar to the opening through each crank arm. The orientation of the coupling is with the flat region aligned with the keyway. In this orientation, the coupling is slid over the end of the shaft until the flat area is aligned over the land. The coupling may be rotated until the flat area is misaligned with the keyway and within the land. In this position, the crank arm is locked.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2013Date of Patent: April 14, 2015Inventors: Kenneth Torino, David-Henry Oliver

Patent number: 6940653Abstract: A holographic imaging system and method includes a radiation source for generating radiation. A data base has a set of elements, each element is indicative of a trajectory of a light ray exiting a point in a recorded scene. A spatial light modulator is receptive of the radiation from the radiation source and the elements of the data base mapped to the spatial light modulator, thereby projecting from the spatial light modulator an optical signal in the nature of a two dimensional bitmap of the recorded scene. A diffractive optical element includes a set of basis fringes receptive of the projected optical signal from the spatial light modulator for diffracting the optical signal in a specified direction. A multiplexer is receptive of the elements of the data base for multiplexing the elements of the data base to the spatial light modulator. A timing device synchronizes multiplexing the elements of the data base to the spatial light modulator and diffracting the optical signal in a specified direction.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2002Date of Patent: September 6, 2005Assignee: Actuality Systems, Inc.Inventors: Gregg E. Patent number: 6532862Abstract: A coffee maker having a centrifugal brewing system. The system includes a basket having a bottom and sides extending upwardly therefrom. The sides define multiple vertical ports that extend upwardly from the bottom of the basket. The basket rotates at low angular velocities, preferably less than about 150 RPM, to extract coffee. Extracted coffee exits the basket through the ports.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2001Date of Patent: March 18, 2003Assignee: Access Business Group International LLCInventors: Steve O. Mork, Joshua E. Publication number: 20020014161Abstract: A coffee maker having interchangeable carafes, a serial heating system, and a centrifugal brewing system. The coffee maker includes a glass carafe and a thermal carafe, either of which interchangeably fits within a carafe cavity. The presence of the glass carafe activates a heating element positioned under the carafe. The thermal carafe does not. The centrifugal brewing system includes a showerhead for distributing water at radially spaced locations over a rotating grounds basket. The control for the serial heating system activates and deactivates the heating element to allow for heat transfer between heated and unheated portions of the water. In an alternative embodiment including a batch water heating system, the coffee maker includes a modular distributor secured to the bottom of the water heating vessel by a hand-actuated bayonet mount for easy cleaning or replacement.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 5, 2001Publication date: February 7, 2002Applicant: Amway CorporationInventors: Steve O.
