  • Publication number: 20160309021
Abstract: A method and system for providing an intelligent reminder by a device for returning a call to a calling party after receiving an incoming call. The system detects an incoming call and displays to a user an option for creating an intelligent reminder that, when triggered, reminds a user to commence a return call with the calling party. An intelligent reminder is triggered when the system identifies a condition associated with the device which satisfies a trigger condition associated with the intelligent reminder. A trigger condition can identify, for example, a geographic location. After determining that a trigger condition has been met, the system generates an alert, which includes an option to commence a return call with the calling party. The system may commence a call after receiving a selection by the user of the option to commence the call.

  • Publication number: 20160309022
Abstract: A method and system for providing an intelligent reminder by a device for commencing a call to a party to a previous call after the previous call has failed to connect with a user. The system detects that a call has failed to connect with a user. The system creates an intelligent reminder including a trigger condition, which is triggered when a criterion of the trigger condition is met. When it is triggered, the system generates an alert including an option to commence a call with the party to the previous call. The system may identify the criterion of the trigger condition based at least in part on a value of a property associated with the user being willing to commence a call.

  • Publication number: 20160309310
Abstract: A method and system for providing an intelligent reminder by a device after a failed call. The system detects that a call was commenced but not connected with a called party. The system creates an intelligent reminder and, when it is triggered, generates an alert via a user device. An intelligent reminder is triggered when the system identifies that a trigger condition for the intelligent reminder has been met. The alert includes an option to commence a call with the called party. A user may quickly and easily commence a call with the called party via the option included in the alert.

  • Publication number: 20130297634
Abstract: Data is received that comprises an entity name. Thereafter, it is determined (i) whether there are any punctuation variations for the entity name, (ii) whether there is at least one character to drop from the entity name, and (iii) whether there are alternative equivalents of at least a portion of the entity name. After such determinations have been made, a plurality of variants for the entity name is generated based on a combination of each determined punctuation variation, determined at least one character to drop, and determined alternative equivalent. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

  • Publication number: 20130297361
Abstract: A company is associated, in an enterprise resource planning system, with a plurality of business entities that each have at least one structured record used by the enterprise resource planning system to characterize the business entity. Thereafter, documents are obtained from a plurality of information sources that characterize events associated with each business entity. It is then determined, using pre-defined business rules, which of the events are pertinent to the company so that enhancement records can be generated for the events determined to be pertinent to the company. These enhancement records characterize the corresponding event and are linked to the structured record for the corresponding business entity. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

  • Publication number: 20130297999
Abstract: A document is received that has a plurality of lines with text. This document includes text associated with at least one topic of interest and text not associated with the at least one topic of interest. Thereafter, it is determined, for each line in the document, a length of the line and a number of off-topic indicators with the off-topic indicators characterizing portions of the document as likely being not being associated with the at least one topic of interest. Thereafter, a density for each line can be determined based on the determined line length and the determined number of off-topic indicators. The determined densities for each line are used to identify portions of the documents likely associated with the at least one topic of interest so that data characterizing the identified portions of the document can be provided. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

  • Patent number: 8405012
Abstract: A MEMS type actuator includes a substrate defining a plane; a micro bellows disposed on the substrate and operable to expand in a direction out of a substrate plane, the substrate having an opening therein for fluid flow to the micro bellows; and a ramp disposed above the micro bellows. In a collapsed position of the micro bellows, the ramp is substantially parallel to the plane of the substrate and, in expanded positions of the micro bellows, the micro bellows applies a force to the ramp thereby causing rotation of the ramp in a direction out of the substrate plane.
