  • Publication number: 20230400482
Abstract: A voltage monitoring system and a method for harvesting energy is disclosed. A system includes a ring oscillator circuit, which incorporates delay line circuit composed of series of inverting logic gates. The final inverting logic gate forms self-oscillating feedback loop by connecting its output to the input of the first logic gate. To interface with ring oscillator circuit, transistor-based voltage divider circuit is implemented. The transistor-based voltage divider circuit utilizes multiple diode-connected transistor devices, with bulk terminals interconnected to the respective source terminals. Enable signal controls final diode-connected transistor device at its gate terminal. Furthermore, a voltage-level shifter circuit is connected to output of inverting logic gates, enabling seamless integration with ring oscillator circuit. Finally, a counter circuit is linked to voltage-level shifter circuit, utilizing its output terminal.

  • Publication number: 20230099672
Abstract: A charging circuit for a capacitor in a defibrillator includes a control enabling a setting of a desired time to charge a capacitor to a desired voltage in the defibrillator. The charging circuit further includes a flyback charge-pump circuit comprising a switch, an energy transfer transformer, an energy storage capacitor and a control. The switch is configured to stop or allow storage of energy in a transformer. The transformer transfers the energy to the capacitor. The flyback charge-pump circuit controls a duty-cycle on the switch so that a current draw from a power source (e.g. battery) is sufficient to enable charging the capacitor to the desired voltage within the desired time set on the control.

  • Patent number: 11336575
Abstract: A network, such as a hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) network, may comprise a plurality of nodes. Each node may facilitate transmission of service signals between a service provider and a plurality of subscribers. If a node's utilization is determined to be above a predetermined threshold that is indicative of congestion on the node, a system associated with the service provider and/or a third party service may identify a subset of subscribers with excessive data usage. For example, the system may receive usage data for each subscriber serviced by the node, and compare the usage data to a total usage data among the subscribers serviced by the node and/or a standard to identify the subset. Once identified, the system may determine a cause of the excessive data usage for each subscriber within the subset, and determine an action to be performed based on the cause to alleviate the congestion on the node.

  • Patent number: 11307228
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for power outage determination. A device may determine an indication that an outage has occurred on a cable network based on a status of a network device within the cable network, wherein the network device receives power from a power network. The device may determine location information for at least a portion of a plurality of network devices, including the network device, within the cable network. The device may determine a cable topology of the cable network at an area that includes a location that corresponds to the network device. The device may determine a power topology of the power network at the area. The device may analyze the cable topology and the power topology at the area. The device may identify one or more potential failure locations on the power network.
