  • Publication number: 20170265482
Abstract: A method of making a starch based food product selected from baked goods, breads, cakes, cereals, pasta, and pastries, and having 1 to 3.25 calories per gram, on a dry weight basis. The method comprises the step of mixing a type IV resistant starch with ingredients of the food product (optionally with flavor enhancers which do not raise the calories above 3.25 calories per gram), in a sufficient amount wherein a total dietary fiber content of the prepared food product, arising from the type IV resistant starch, comprises 14-60% of the prepared food product, by weight, after subsequent preparing of the prepared food product at the temperature of at least 100° C. The food product is prepared for consumption at the temperature of at least 100° C.

  • Publication number: 20150136879
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel injector having an electromagnet 2 which contains a magnet core 6 and a coil 7 and which further has an armature 9 that is guided on an armature pin 8. The armature pin 8 is guided in a guide sleeve 11 which projects into the electromagnet 2. The fuel injector further has an injector body 4 with at least one injection opening which is introduced into the injector body 4 and which is controlled by an injector needle 5. The aim of the invention is to provide a fuel injector which is functionally improved with respect to the switching times of the fuel injector and the forces that can be generated in the fuel injector while simultaneously simplifying a guide sleeve for an armature pin. This is achieved in that the guide sleeve 11 is integrated into the magnet core 6 and is connected to the magnet core 6 in a formfitting or bonded manner.

  • Patent number: 8291434
Abstract: A computing system and method to dispatch and receive messages that are generated responsive to the occurrence of events. The server generates a message when an event such as the clicking of a mouse button occurs. This message can serve as an input for several program modules such as subroutines. A central dispatcher module is programmed with dispatching strategies to dispatch the message to a customized dispatcher module if the message is of a particular kind. The customized dispatcher module is programmed with dispatching strategies to distribute the message to the program modules. The central dispatcher module does not directly interface to the program modules. This allows for the installation and removal of the program modules without reprogramming the central dispatcher module.

  • Patent number: 5484888
Abstract: Gelatin, having high Bloom or gel strength in excess of 300, is extracted from fish, with high yield, by pre-treating collagen rich fish skins with a limewater (Ca(OH).sub.2) solution suspension with a concentration of between 19 gm of Ca(OH).sub.2 /liter of water/kg of tilapia fish skin to 100 gm Ca(OH).sub.2 /liter of water/kg of fish skin for a period of time between ten to sixty days and optimally between two to four weeks. For fish with higher percentage of fat content, a minimum concentration is at least 50 gm of Ca(OH).sub.2 /liter of water/kg of fish skin to avoid putrefaction. For fish with easily extractable gelatin, such as Nile perch, soaking time is from 3 to 10 days with a concentration of Ca(OH).sub.2 /liter of water of about 15 gm. At concentrations above 100 gm of Ca(OH).sub.2 /liter of water/kg of fish skin and/or treatment time periods in excess of four weeks, Bloom strength dramatically decreases.
