An example method includes storing viewing data associated with monitoring a first media playback device in memory, detecting, by executing an instruction with a processor, presentation of media by the first media playback device, querying, by executing an instruction with the processor, the first media playback device to determine a retrieval location of the media, and in response to a result of the query indicating the media was retrieved from a second media playback device, updating, by executing an instruction with the processor, the viewing data stored in the memory to indicate the media presented by the first media playback device was space-shifted.

Abstract: An accelerated secondary display system comprising a display adapter with a display simulator, a host computer with host software, a client device with a screen and client software. The display simulator is configured to send display characteristics to the host computer. The host computer is configured to receive the display characteristics and render an image into a frame buffer. The host software is configured to cause the host computer to stream image data over a communication channel, the image data based on the image in the frame buffer. The client software is configured to receive the image data over the communication channel and present a copy of the image on the screen based on the image data.

Abstract: Example methods and apparatus for associating media devices with a demographic composition of a geographic area are disclosed. A disclosed example method includes receiving a plurality of Internet Protocol addresses assigned to a media device associated with a panel member, determining a most used Internet Protocol address from the plurality of Internet Protocol addresses, accessing geographic information and determining a geographic location corresponding to the most used Internet Protocol address, accessing demographic information and determining a demographic profile associated with the geographic location, and associating at least one of the geographic location or the demographic profile with the media device.

Abstract: An implementation of this disclosure provides a system comprising memory to store a plurality of layers and a processing device coupled to that memory to set up the layers and to mount them into an overlay. The layers comprise an upper and one or more lower layers. The overlay provides access to a plurality files stored in the overlay filesystem. A request from an application to access a file in the mounted overlay is received. An access policy for the mounter that mounted the layers is identified in view of the mounter's credentials. The processing device checks, in view of the access policy, whether a security context label for the file provides access to the application and to the mounter of the overlay in at least one lower layer comprising the file. An instruction to provide the application with access to the file is issued in view of the check.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for monitoring video games are disclosed. Example video game monitors disclosed herein include a network analyzer to communicatively couple with a communication interface of a video game console, the network analyzer to detect communication packets transferred over the communication interface of the video game console. Disclosed example video game monitors also include a processor to decode the communication packets detected by the network analyzer to determine an identity of a game being played by the video game console, and report the identity of the game to a data collection facility.

Abstract: A pile guide is provided comprising a base frame and a superstructure comprising a pile guide member for guiding the pile as it is driven into a substrate when the base frame is resting thereon. At least part of the superstructure defines an arm that is rotational with respect to the base frame about a first and second points of rotation, to rotate the pile guide member with respect to the base frame. At least one of the first and second points of rotation is translatable with respect to the base frame in a first direction, thereby rotating the arm about the first and second points of rotation with respect to the base frame. At least one of the first and second points of rotation is translatable in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first and second points of rotation with respect to the base frame direction. A method is also provided.

The pile guide comprises a mechanism that couples the guide parts such that movement of a guide part towards the operative position results in movement of at least one other guide part towards the operative position.

The pile guide member comprises plural guide parts each moveable between a operative position and an inoperative position, each guide part being pivotally mounted on the base frame. At least one guide part is operably coupled or couplable with an associated counterweight for opening of the guide member to its inoperative position under gravity, such that, at least in an inoperative position, at least part of the counterweight and the associated guide part are movable with respect to each other. Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to Ubx-fusion molecules that maintain their mechanical strength and properties even after being fused with Ubx. Ubx fusions with VEGF and other growth factors, cell signaling proteins, and cell binding proteins can be used to induce angiogenesis. Ubx fibers and mesh, embedded within a tissue engineering scaffold, induce formation of vasculature within the scaffold. The presence of vasculature is necessary to provide oxygen and nutrients to other cells growing within the scaffold.
