Patent number: 9969534Abstract: The bag may include a draw tape that may be used to cinch closed the opening of the bag. The draw tape may include an elastic characteristic and may be smaller in size than the peripheral distance about the opening. The draw tape in its natural contracted state may partially constrict the opening. However, the draw tape may be stretched or expanded to enable a user to dilate the opening and fold the periphery of the opening over the rim of the canister. The draw tape may then recover or constrict to grip about the rim of the receptacle to hold the bag to the canister. In one embodiment, the bag may include a pattern proximate the bag opening to allow the bag opening to be stretched over the rim of the canister.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2015Date of Patent: May 15, 2018Assignee: The Glad Products CompanyInventors: Gregory S. Kent, Matthew W. Waldron, Shaun T. Broering, David Hoying, John Schroeder

Patent number: 9744706Abstract: One or more implementations of a multi-layered bag with reinforced seals include an outer layer or bag and an inner layer or bag positioned within the outer layer or bag. The multi-layered bag further includes a draw tape positioned near the opening of the multi-layered bag. The draw tape can allow a user to at least partially close the multi-layered bag by drawing the layers of the bag together. The multi-layered bag further includes one or more tape seals that bond the draw tape to layers of the bag. The tape seals can be reinforced and include at least seven plies bonded together. One or more implementations further include methods of forming multi-layered bags with reinforced seals.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2014Date of Patent: August 29, 2017Assignee: The Glad Products CompanyInventors: Michael G. Borchardt, Shaun T. Broering, Robert H. Turner, David Hoying, Daniel C. Peck, Robert T. Dorsey, Matthew W. Waldron, Robert W. Fraser

Patent number: 9021494Abstract: A method and system for aggregating installation scopes within an isolation environment, where the method includes first defining an isolation environment for encompassing an aggregation of installation scopes. Associations are created between a first application and a first installation scope. When the first application requires the presence of a second application within the isolation environment for proper execution, an image of the required second application is mounted onto a second installation scope and an association between the second application and the second installation scope is created. Another association is created between the first installation scope and the second installation scope, and this third association is created within a third installation scope. Each of the first, second, and third installation scopes are stored and the first application is launched into the defined isolation environment.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2012Date of Patent: April 28, 2015Assignee: Citrix Systems, Inc.Inventors: Joseph Nord, David Hoy, Madhav Chinta

Publication number: 20070083501Abstract: A method and system for accessing a file in a directory structure associated with an application includes a method of accessing a file in a directory structure associated with an application. A request by an application for access to a file is intercepted. The request is redirected to a first isolation environment. A determination is made that the requested file does not exist in the first isolation environment. The request is redirected to a second isolation environment responsive to a determination that the file is identified in an enumeration of a directory structure including a plurality of application files residing on a remote machine. The requested file is retrieved from a file server, responsive to a determination that the second isolation environment does not contain the file and that the file is identified in the enumeration.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2005Publication date: April 12, 2007Inventors: Bradley Pedersen, Joseph Nord, David Hoy

Publication number: 20070083522Abstract: A method and system for responding locally to requests for file metadata associated with files stored remotely includes a method of responding locally to requests for file metadata without downloading the file from a remote location. A directory structure representing an application program stored by a remote machine and metadata associated with each file comprising the stored application program are received from the remote machine. The directory and the metadata are stored. At least one request to access metadata associated with a specific tile in the directory structure is received. The stored metadata is used to respond to the at least one request.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2005Publication date: April 12, 2007Inventors: Joseph Nord, David Hoy

Patent number: 6907267Abstract: A loop-powered T1 digital radio is coupled to a powered T1 wireline. The radio not only interfaces digital T1 communication signals with the line, but is configured to extract and convert electrical power from the line to voltages necessary for operating the radio. The loop-powered T1 radio transmits and receives RF energy containing the T1 digital communication signals with respect to a remote digital radio, such as a ‘blue tooth’ type radio.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2001Date of Patent: June 14, 2005Assignee: Adtran, Inc.Inventors: Eric Malcolm Rives, David Hoy Nabors

Patent number: 4844057Abstract: An orthopedic hinge joint mechanism for proteciton of unstable or injured knees. Four coacting members are rotably fastened each to the next in a series. The first and third members lie in one plane and the second and fourth lie in an adjacent parallel plane. The members in the same plane abut in gears. As a result of this construction the hinge moves symmetrically about its center and effectivley simulates the complex action of the human knee joint.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 1987Date of Patent: July 4, 1989Inventor: David Hoy

Patent number: 4078576Abstract: A gas mixer for mixing two or more gases of different quantities and physical characteristics includes a gas inlet chamber and a gas mixing chamber in gaseous communication with the gas inlet chamber. Pairs of gas inlet ducts face one another across the gas inlet chamber so that the gas streams emitting from the inlet ducts interfere causing intermingling of the gases. From the inlet chamber the gases flow downwardly into a mixing chamber. A clean air inlet duct extends across the mixing chamber. The clean air inlet duct has a longitudinal slot with a cusp shaped baffle disposed in the slot. Clean air exits the clean air inlet duct through the slot past the baffle and into the gas mixing chamber where it mixes with the gases from the inlet chamber. The mixture of gas then flows out of the mixing chamber, past rectifying vanes which change the gas flow from turbulent to laminar, and into an exhaust duct.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 1976Date of Patent: March 14, 1978Assignee: American Air Filter Company, Inc.Inventors: Gerald Punch, David Hoy
