  • Patent number: 12094667
Abstract: A digital signaling device provides visual, audible, and haptic indicators when the digital signaling device changes state. The digital signaling device has a same operational feel and response as a classic electro-mechanical decorator-style light switch, including maintaining switch paddle position, using attractive magnetic latching in combination with a spring contact. The switch paddle can be pressed into one of two positions, each position representing a different state of the digital signaling device. The switch paddle provides a visual indicator of the digital signaling device state in that the switch paddle is maintained in one of the two positions. The attractive magnetic latching provides both an audible and haptic indicator when the magnet pairs are engaged, which corresponds to a change of state of the digital signaling device. The spring contact provides a digital switching mechanism for changing the state of the digital signaling device.

  • Patent number: 12044419
Abstract: An HVAC system includes a front side access panel, an HVAC unit, a mounting sleeve, and a back side grille. The mounting sleeve and the HVAC unit are configured to fit within the preexisting framing of a building, and in particular to be mounted in a wall, between pre-existing studs, of a room. The HVAC unit includes an evaporator section, a mechanical section, and a condenser section. The HVAC system is optimized to maximize space utilization and support efficient installation and servicing while minimizing product intrusion into living space. The evaporator section includes a heat exchanger, an air mover, and electrical circuitry. The air mover and the heat exchanger can have a variety of different configurations, all designed for implementation within the limited confines between preexisting studs of the wall. The heat exchanger can include a coil assembly having an evaporator coil and a plurality of fins.

The mounting sleeve and the HVAC unit are configured to fit within the preexisting framing of a building, and in particular to be mounted in a wall, between pre-existing studs, of a room. The HVAC unit can be installed into the mounting sleeve via quick connect mechanisms including, but not limited to, snap in connections and/or tab and slot features. The mounting sleeve enables rapid installation and also condensate collection. The HVAC unit includes an evaporator section, a mechanical section, and a condenser section that are integrally formed as a single physical unit. The design of the HVAC system is optimized to maximize space utilization and support efficient installation and servicing while minimizing product intrusion into living space.

  • Patent number: 11344282
Abstract: An ultrasound system performs duplex colorflow and spectral Doppler imaging, with the spectral Doppler interrogation performed at a sample volume location shown on the colorflow image. The colorflow image is displayed in a color box overlaid on a co-registered B mode image. A color box position and steering angle processor analyzes the spatial Doppler data and automatically sets the color box angle and location over a blood vessel for optimal Doppler sensitivity and accuracy. The processor may also automatically set the flow angle correction cursor in alignment with the direction of flow. In a preferred embodiment these optimization adjustments are made automatically and continuously as a user pauses at points for Doppler measurements along a length of the blood vessel.

  • Patent number: 11122934
Abstract: A heating element for a cooking appliance includes terminals that act as electrically conductive contact points. One or more buses are arranged between the terminals, and connect one or more heating element segments in a zig-zag configuration. The heating element segments are connected in series and are arranged parallel with one another. Each heating element segment includes a plurality of cutouts linked together and having an elliptical shape. The terminals, heating element segments, and buses are a continuous single sheet of conductive material. A method of making the heating element includes forming a pattern into the sheet of conductive material by etching the pattern into the conductive sheet using photolithography.

  • Patent number: 10899492
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a cup including a base, a sidewall extending upward from the base to a top of the cup to define an internal cavity and an open top, wherein the sidewall includes an upper sidewall and a lower sidewall located between the upper sidewall and the base. The lower sidewall can include a lower wall and a plurality of raised ribs extending radially outward from the lower wall and being separated by recesses and the ribs and recesses being elongated in a direction between the top and the base. The cup can include an annular ledge connects the upper sidewall to the lower sidewall, wherein the annular ledge extends inwardly from the upper sidewall to the lower sidewall and forms a reduction in width of the sidewall between the upper sidewall and the lower sidewall.
