  • Publication number: 20190385100
Abstract: A system for modeling an entity includes a prediction module configured to identify one of a plurality of entities using a set of criteria filters to construct a model for the entity with model features built from data about the entity. The prediction module computes a diffusion model coefficient ? based on a diffusion parameter vector ?, and a drift model coefficient ? based on a drift parameter vector ?. The module computes a predicted entity success probability and a success interval confidence interval. A portfolio selection module is configured to receive a score measuring success for the plurality of entities based on the model, order the scores in a rank order, and form a portfolio from top n scoring entities. A prediction interpretation module receives parameter vectors ? and ? and entity model coefficients ? and ? and uses distributions of ? and ? to correlate entity features with success prediction.

  • Patent number: 10063649
Abstract: A proxy service receives first data from a source component. The first data is encoded in accordance with a first encoding technique. It is determined whether the first data is valid. In response to a determination that the first data is valid, the proxy service generates second data based, at least in part, on the first data and sends the second data to the target component. The second data is encoded in accordance with a second encoding technique.

  • Publication number: 20180138771
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically routing a wire lead of a stator from a first position to a second position includes a base assembly to receive the stator. A clamp assembly is mounted on the base assembly to hold the wire lead in the first position. An arbor rotates the wire lead. The arbor has a holder to hold the wire lead. An end effector grips and moves the wire lead. A controller moves the end effector to grip the wire lead at the first position and to couple the wire lead with the arbor. Further, the controller rotates the arbor to rotate the wire lead along the circumference of the stator by a pre-determined angle. The controller moves the end effector to grip the wire lead held by the holder, and to move the wire lead to the second position.

  • Patent number: 9729257
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for isolating an upstream noise source in a cable television network. In one embodiment, a cable television network is communicatively coupled to a plurality of CPEs through a node. The cable television network comprises a CMTS with a CPE polling module and a noise monitor communicatively coupled to the CMTS through the node of the cable television network. The noise monitor is operable in a band of frequencies unused by the CPEs for upstream communications to determine when noise in the band breaches a threshold level, and to indicate when the noise breaches the threshold level to the CPE polling module. The CPE polling module then polls each of the CPEs to retrieve transmit power levels and locations of the CPEs, and identifies the first CPE with the intermittently noisy connection based on the retrieved transmit power level and location of the first CPE.

Abstract: A method and system for protecting an object from fire are provided. The system comprises a composition including water, a solid particulate material, and a foaming agent, the composition being aeratable to form an aerated slurry, and an apparatus to aerate the composition to form the aerated slurry and to apply the aerated slurry to the object. Upon application, the aerated slurry forms a thermally-insulating layer adapted to substantially cover a surface of the object, thereby protecting the object from fire damage. The thermally-insulating layer is further adapted to dry on the surface of the object, and whereby the thermally-insulating layer is removable from the surface of the object by application of water.
