  • Publication number: 20020092105
Abstract: A mop including a mop handle and a mop head located at one end of the handle and including a plurality of flexible strands defining a mop body. A sleeve is positioned on the mop handle and is supported for slidable movement in an axial direction parallel to the handle, and is further supported for rotatable movement relative to the handle. A lower end of the sleeve is provided with engagement portions defined by slots for engaging and gripping the strands of the mop body to facilitate twisting of the mop body by the sleeve. In addition, a ratchet and pawl mechanism is provided by cooperating portions of the mop body and sleeve to limit rotation of the sleeve to a single direction during a wringing operation.

  • Patent number: 5657204
Abstract: The apparatus includes a movable card guide mechanism for receiving a PC add-on board. The movable card guide mechanism moves vertically to seat the add-on board in, or remove the add-on board from, a bus connector when an external latch is moved inward or outward. The external latch is attached to the movable card guide mechanism by means of an actuator, and the movable card guide mechanism is mounted to the inside top wall of the PC's chassis. Thus, when the actuator moves in one direction, the movable card guide mechanism is moved down, seating the edge connector of an add-on board in a bus connector on the PC's motherboard, and when it moves in the other direction, the movable card guide mechanism is moved up, removing the add-on board from the bus connector.

  • Patent number: 5647181
Abstract: The invention provides the peripheral edge portions of rigid sheet-like panels with locking edges arranged for mating, snap-fit locking engagement by panel connector members, whereby a plurality of panels may be connected together to form building structures such as doll houses, children's play houses, utility sheds and the like.

  • Patent number: 5523167
Abstract: A transfer film comprised of an inert backing coated with a transfer layer comprising a mixture of a resin, a filler, a magnetic pigment, a nondrying oil and an oil soluble dye provides security against fraudulent alteration of Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) symbols. Upon impact this film acts like an ordinary MICR transfer film: a portion of the transfer layer transfers to a document surface forming a magnetically readable character image. After transfer, the nondrying oil contained in the transferred layer begins to diffuse into the matrix of the document paper. The oil carries the visible oil-soluble dye. Soon an image of the MICR characters appears on the reverse surface of the document. If any of the characters do not show through on the reverse surface as a visible dye image, alterations have been made to the MICR characters.

  • Patent number: 5280300
Abstract: The invention relates generally to refillable ink cartridges for computer controlled ink jet printers and more specifically to apparatus for refilling collapsible ink bags which are maintained at sub-atmospheric pressure within such equipment. A mass of porous capillary material disposed in an ink supply passageway provides a capillary valve which prevents flow of ink when one side of the valve is unwetted.

  • Patent number: 4644450
Abstract: A lighting unit for liquids comprises a tubular member with a flange at one end and a screwthread at the other whereby it can be secured in the wall of a vessel to hold liquid. A holder engaged in the rear end of the tubular member holds a bulb such as an automobile head lamp bulb, and a lens is mounted in a recess in the front end of the tubular member. The lens has a convex front face, a concave rear face and a negative focal length and, with the light mounted close to the rear of the lens, gives a very wide angle of illumination. The angle may for example be 172.degree. and the tubular member may be of only 7 cm diameter.
