Abstract: A system is provided for monitoring a force acting on a foot or a footwear. The system includes an assembly that is disposed proximate to a region of the foot or the footwear. The assembly includes a sensing device and a processor communicatively coupled to the sensing device. The sensing device is disposed on a flexible substrate or a stretchable substrate, where the sensing device conforms to the region of the foot or the footwear, and where the sensing device is used to measure data relating to the force acting on the foot or the footwear. The processor executes processor-executable instructions to analyze the data from the sensing device. The analysis can be used to provide an indication of the measured force.
