  • Patent number: 11919526
Abstract: Techniques are discussed herein for detecting and measuring faults within vehicle drive systems. In various implementations, actuator feedback monitors and/or vehicle performance monitors are used individually or in combination to determine faults within acceleration systems, braking systems, and/or steering systems of a vehicle. Different monitors may use different algorithms, models, and input data from the vehicle during operation, to compare a predicted drive system output to a corresponding measured output. Additionally, monitors may include associated sets of disable conditions used to distinguish drive system faults from other driving conditions. The outputs from actuator feedback monitors, vehicle performance monitors, and disable conditions may be analyzed to detect drive system faults and control the vehicle to address the faults and control the safe operation of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230308277
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method for anonymous attestation that includes receiving, by an application running on a client device and from a first content provider, an authentication request to authenticate a user to receive content from a second domain of a second content provider, redeeming, with an attestation token issuing system that issued an anonymous attestation token attesting to the user's authentication to the second content provider, the anonymous attestation token by transmitting the anonymous attestation token with a second request, receiving a redemption result representing whether the attestation token was successfully redeemed, signed by the attestation token issuing system using a digital signature and is operable to verify, to the second content provider, that the user is authenticated to the second content provider without identifying the user to the second content provider, and transmitting, to the first content provider, the redemption result.

  • Publication number: 20230234605
Abstract: A system generates haptic feedback in an electric vehicle. The system comprises a frame, an energy storage device, and a wheel rotatably coupled to the frame. A motor receives power from the energy storage device and provides torque to the wheel. A controller determines a first operational state of the electric vehicle and transmits a first torque signal to the motor to control the motor to transmit first torque levels to the wheel to propel the electric vehicle. The controller determines a second operational state of the electric vehicle and transmits a second torque signal to the motor assembly. The motor assembly transmits second torque levels to the wheel to generate haptic feedback. The second torque signal is based on the second operational state of the electric vehicle and a torque profile stored in the memory, where the torque profile defines an irregular-shaped periodic waveform (e.g., a heartbeat rhythm).

  • Publication number: 20230149942
Abstract: A material reduction machine includes a prime mover driving a cutting mechanism. A drive system receives a signal to initiate rotation of a cutting mechanism. A sensor senses a machine load parameter and reports a signal to a controller operatively coupled to the clutch to control sequential engagement cycles from the engine to the cutting mechanism. The controller utilizes a stored first disengagement threshold value for stopping a first engagement cycle and continues monitoring the signal as the machine load parameter increases momentarily after reaching the first disengagement threshold. The controller determines and adopts a second disengagement threshold value based on observation of the machine load parameter indicative of maximum load during the continued monitoring after the first disengagement threshold is realized, and further being based on a stored correction factor. The second disengagement threshold value is used for a second engagement cycle.
