  • Publication number: 20180330062
Abstract: A system, computer-readable medium, and method for developing a treatment strategy for a patient with a medical condition related to an undesirable occurrence in at least one population of in vivo cells. The system, and method include generating one or more proposed treatment strategies to treat the patient's medical condition. A predictive model is utilized to predict a patient's physiological response to events that occur during the treatment strategies. As patient information is measured over time, the predictive model is adapted to more accurately model the patient's expected response.

  • Patent number: 6532462
Abstract: A filter table provides a framework in which queries are efficiently and easily developed to access a gene expression database. The filter table is used to filter a plurality of expression levels to return a reduced set of expression levels, which may be further queried to provide more specific results. Using the filtering and querying provided one can easily identify genes or expressed sequence tags whose expression correlates to particular tissue types. Various tissue types may correspond to different diseases, states of disease progression, different organs, different species, etc. Researchers may now use large-scale gene expression databases to full advantage.

  • Publication number: 20030028501
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a computer based method for managing information about a plurality of experiments conducted on a plurality of samples is provided. Each experiment provides an indication of a degree of expression of particular genetic sequences in a sample. The method includes a variety of steps such as registering at least one of the plurality of samples with a centralized database. The method then includes steps of tracking a plurality of information about the samples and tracking a plurality of information about the experiments. A step of producing a sample history about the plurality of samples from the plurality of information is also a part of the method. The method filters the information about the experiments and the information about the samples according to filters selected by a user. The information is made available for publishing to a variety of targets such as a public database.

  • Patent number: 6338071
Abstract: Described is a novel relational database architecture that is adapted to storing information regarding the terms of one or more contracts, and the actions required to be performed under it. The database resides on a computer-readable storage medium as part of a multi-user computer network. By using simple subroutines readily apparent to one skilled in the computer arts, one can automatically generate alerts whenever an action needs to be performed. These alerts are then transmitted to users along the multi-computer network, appearing in an e-mail message that specifies the action, the individuals performing it, and the duties of each of these individuals. In this manner, one can ensure timely execution of the actions required under a contract.
