  • Patent number: 6711934
Abstract: A system for the operation of a number of commercial washing machines and automatically feeding liquid chemicals to the washing machines. The system has chemical reservoir pods with a pressure sensor and an output valve on each. The chemical pods are supplied with liquid chemical by refill pumps. The quantity of chemical in a chemical pod, and the quantity of chemical dispensed from each chemical pod is calculated from information received by a controller from the pressure sensor to determine when to open and close the valve. A further pressure sensor is provided in the supply pipe to each washing machine to verify and measure flow quantity of water and chemical to the machine.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 17, 2002
Date of Patent: March 30, 2004
    Assignee: U.N.X. Incorporated

  • Patent number: 6055831
Abstract: A fluid delivery system transfers fluids from a set of containers each of which holds a different type fluid to a group of apparatus, such as washing machines, each of which requires that certain types of fluid be delivered to the apparatus in a certain sequence. The system operates under program control both with regard to sequence in which particular fluids are drawn from the containers and with regard to the apparatus to which the selected fluids are delivered. Fluid pressure in the fluid lines leading to the apparatus is sensed by pressure sensors located along these fluid lines in a manner enabling the operator of the system to immediately know which of several containers are empty.

  • Patent number: 5743442
Abstract: A liquid dispenser for withdrawing liquids from one or more containers having a mouth and bottom and side walls joined at a juncture comprised of a container support to position the containers with their mouths over the lowermost part of the wall juncture, a probe support spaced above the container support, and a plurality of probes slidably supported on the probe support above the container support, each probe including a lower end with a curved face corresponding to the curvature of the juncture, each probe being moveable between a raised position above the mouth of a container, and a lowered position extending through the mouth of the container and into contact with the lowermost part of the interior of said container at the juncture, and a pump to draw liquid from the container upwardly through the probe.
