    Abstract: A liquid insecticidal composition having enhanced insect knockdown comprising an active insecticide, a liquid medium for emulsifying, dispersing, or solubilizing the insecticide, and at least one of N-vinyl 2-pyrrolidone, N-methyl 2-pyrrolidone, and 2-pyrrolidone. The amphiphilic solvency characteristics of the 2-pyrrolidones increases the penetration of the insecticide into the body of the insect to provide enhanced insect knockdown.
