  • Patent number: 8157265
Abstract: A bag tossing game for one or more by players comprises foldably deployable target assemblies, associated stabilizing assemblies linked to the target assemblies, and a plurality of bags for throwing by players. Each target assembly presents an inclined impact surface with a target aperture towards which bags are thrown. A foldable elevator pivoted to the target assembly angles the target assembly during play. Foldable feet at an opposite end of the target assemblies offer further support. A stabilizing assembly associated with each target assembly comprises a base disposed on the supporting surface, a platform mounted over the base for supporting bags and beverages and an elongated stanchion extending upwardly from a socket in the base for supporting the platform. The base comprises an elongated slot and cooperating guide channels for interconnecting each target assembly elevator with the stabilizing assembly.

  • Patent number: 6244598
Abstract: A bag tossing game for use by one or more players comprises a pair of spaced-apart, wedge-shaped target assemblies that are erected by suitably unfolding a unitary corrugated blank. Each target assembly presents an outer, inclined, surface comprising a target orifice. The blank has a central panel forming the outer surface, a pair of foldable sides forming a fluteless bottom, and a front and a rear each having two foldable panels that present a fluteless bottom To minimize wear, each target orifice is snap-fitted with a plastic reinforcement ring that also seals out moisture. Stabilizer ribs formed from corrugated blanks extend transversely beneath the target assemblies between the folded sides to reinforce the target assemblies and reduce bouncing. The rib blank comprises two main panels folded across a fold line to form a fluteless bottom and a V-configuration. Integral subpanels overlie one another to a triangular base.

  • Patent number: 5056796
Abstract: A blow molded, plastic, bag tossing game for use by one or more players can be disposed in either a transportable mode, a display mode, or a playing mode. In the playing mode a pair of identical, modular target assemblies are deployed in spaced apart relationship to present a pair of slightly inclined, apertured targets towards which soft bags are thrown to generate points in accordance with rules. Each target assembly comprises a resilient, generally rectangular plastic playing board which includes a target aperture. Each target board is inclined for play by two elevator trays which are pivotally coupled to each board. For storage each elevator tray can be folded into position on the underside of the target board. The bags are captivated during storage within sunken orifices defined in the boards. The orifices define reinforcement means, which brace the apparatus and obivate separate right angled struts.

  • Patent number: 4995605
Abstract: Construction methods and clip apparatus for joining or repairing wall or ceiling panels such as sheet rock, gypsum boards, plywood, or other generally planar wall panels. The clip is enables permanent edgewise joining of wallboard panels, ceiling panels, or the like at any desired position along the length of the wall frame or ceiling framework independent of framing back- up studs or joists. A plurality of metallic clips unite to provide an edgewise mechanical bond between adjacent panel edges by creating an artificial backing in wall regions having no studs or support columns. A preferred clip comprises a generally planar, elongated body having a pair of parallel reinforcement grooves, and body is preferably stamped from metal stock and selectively perforated. A pair of integral, spaced apart, prong-like spring tab structures formed on opposite sides of the clip body initially grasp the edges of a panel.

In the playing mode a pair of identical, modular target assemblies are deployed in spaced apart relationship to present a pair of slightly inclined, apertured targets towards which soft bags are thrown to generate points in accordance with rules. Each target assemby comprises a resilient, molded plastic playing board of generally rectangular configuration, which includes an upper, elevated target aperture. Each target board comprises a removable, modularized elevator tray which can be snap fitted to the boards to gently incline them for play. The trays also prevent bags dropping through the target hole from escaping the board underside. The tray leading edge is inclined. A brace extending from the board underside reinforces the trays during play.

  • Patent number: 4782642
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for joining or repairing wall or ceiling panels such as sheet rock, gypsum boards, plywood, or other generally planar wall panels. Means are provided for permanently joining the edges of wallboard panels, ceiling panels, or the like at any desired position along the length of the wall frame or ceiling framework independent of framing backup studs or joists. Each embodiment of the invention contemplates the use of a plurality of metallic clips adapted to provide a working union or edgewise mechanical bond between adjacent panel edges, by creating an artificial backing in wall regions having no studs or support columns. A preferred clip comprises a generally planar, elongated body having a pair of parallel of reinforcement grooves, and the whole body is preferably stamped from perforated metal stock. A pair of integral, spaced apart, prong-like spring tab structures are formed on opposite sides of the clip body to grasp the edges of a panel.

  • Patent number: 3982237
Abstract: A combination door chime and detector responsive to the particulate products of combustion passing through multiple passageways formed in the chime cover. The door chime includes conventional spaced tone bars each cooperating with a tuned resonator chamber. A tone bar striker mechanism capable of single-note, two-note, and sustained-repetitive note striking of the tone bars is disposed between the tone bars. A photoelectric particulate products of combustion detector is also disposed between the tone bars. The conventional low-voltage door and chime transformer serves as a power supply for both the combustion detector and the striker mechanism. The closing of a first remote door chime switch generates a single-note signal; the closing of a second remote door chime switch generates a two-note signal; and the detection of the particulate products of combustion generates a sustained-repetitive note which serves as an intense audible alarm.
