  • Patent number: 10952408
Abstract: A planar support platform for mounting a pet washtub on the upper rim of a conventional bathtub. The platform comprises a generally H-shaped frame with a central beam slide-adjustable on a pair of spaced cross-bars that span the width of the bathtub to rest on the bathtub upper rim. The cross-bars include downwardly-extending vertical clamping posts shorter than the height of the bathtub, and adjustably positioned on the cross-bars to engage the inner faces of the bathtub sidewalls with an outward locking force. Pet washtubs for use in combination with the platform are also disclosed, the washtub in one form having a bottom locking plate structure configured to mate with inner and outer mounting features on the platform cross-bars.

  • Publication number: 20090238766
Abstract: The invention provides a construct comprising an amino acid sequence attached to a luciferin substrate, wherein the amino acid sequence is not a substrate for either luciferase or caspase-3/7 to render the substrate inactive in the presence of luciferase. The construct is useful, for example, as a negative control for in vitro apoptosis assays and the bioluminescent imaging of drug-induced apoptosis in vivo. The invention also provides methods for screening for novel modulators of an apoptosis-related disease.

  • Patent number: 7240682
Abstract: The invention concerns a washing fluid pump (1) for windows and/or headlamp cleaning installations on motor vehicles including at least one motor, at least one pump housing (2) with at least one impeller (11) arranged therein, at least one intake (8) and at least two selectively actuable outlets (7). The washing fluid pump (1) is distinguished in that the pump housing (2) includes at least two pump chamber regions which are arranged in mutually superposed relationship, that at least two outlets (7) are associated with different pump chamber regions, and the impeller (11) is axially displaceably supported in the pump housing (2) in such a way that it can assume its operative position selectively in one pump chamber region or the other.

  • Patent number: 4172414
Abstract: Compression apparatus including a press framework defining a compression region for housing material such as straw to be compressed, one or more compression elements such as two opposed arrays of compression teeth for compressing material by movement along the compression region, and a drive mechanism for moving the compression teeth in a cycle of movement. The cycle includes the compression teeth entering into the compression region, moving along the compression region along a substantially rectilinear path to compress material in the compression region, and returning to the position occupied at the beginning of the cycle, the compression teeth being at least partially removed from the compression region during the return movement.
