  • Patent number: 9809289
Abstract: A hull mounted, steerable marine drive system having trim actuation is both steerable through 360 degrees and is trimmable. The marine drive system includes a watertight enclosure assembly for sealing the hull, which is adapted for keeping much of the marine drive system from being exposed to water. The enclosure includes a gasket flange plate, a retention plate and a folded gasket. The gasket flange plate closely follows the contour of the hull and enhances the hydrodynamic and wake performance of the present marine drive system. Further, marine drive system includes a forward-neutral-reverse (FNR) transmission assembly, a drive unit assembly having a trimmable upper unit and a steerable lower unit, a steering actuator assembly, a trim actuator assembly, and, preferably, trim foils for providing enhanced negative and positive trim and for providing enhanced positive and negative lift.

  • Publication number: 20160067951
Abstract: A masking material and method of forming a masking tape that includes a substrate and an adhesive layer disposed on the substrate. Methods of manufacturing the masking material include features associated with forming a masking material having an adhesive layer that is preferably thicker than the substrate and includes features associated with providing an indicia associated with forming discrete rolls of the masking material with the desired degree of uniformity of an edge located adhesive. The method can also include substrate moisture, coating, and/or surface energy control or manipulation to achieve the desired adhesion between the adhesive and substrate associated with the masking material.

  • Publication number: 20140338821
Abstract: A masking material and method of forming a masking tape that includes a substrate and an adhesive layer disposed on the substrate. The adhesive layer is preferably thicker than the substrate and formed of a material that has a modulus of elasticity combined with a viscoelastic component that allows the adhesive to conform to discontinuities associated with a surface to which the masking material is applied. Preferably, the adhesive is formed in two rows that are aligned with the lateral edges of the substrate and which prevent seepage of liquid materials between the masking material and the surface to which it is applied.

  • Patent number: 8028354
Abstract: A spa apparatus includes a chair and a basin supported by a base. The basin is movable in an up/down direction relative to a portion of the base. The chair may include actuators to tilt forward to permit easy entry and exit from the chain. The chair may also move in a fore/aft direction relative to the basin. A pair of foot rests may be located within the basin. A manicure assembly may be located within a cavity in the arm of the chair. The basin may have a narrowed front portion to allow a technician to easily fact the customer. A base may include two support frames that pivot relative to one another proximate an end of the base distal the basin.

  • Publication number: 20100096396
Abstract: Holders for beverage containers are provided that can hold a beverage container in place and also seal or cover the beverage container, making it more difficult for foreign matter to enter the beverage container. The holder includes a base in which an actuator is mounted. Upper and lower rails are connected to and biased toward each other by the actuator. Upper and lower arms and upper and lower plates are, respectively, connected to the upper and lower rails. The upper and lower plates axially restrain the beverage container from above and below. A locking arm selectively engages at least one of the actuator and the upper and lower arms in a manner that supplements the biasing force provided by the actuator, clamping the upper and lower plates more tightly against the beverage container, and fixing the upper and lower plates in that condition, so that the beverage container is securely and tightly held between the upper and lower plates.

  • Patent number: 7424753
Abstract: A spa apparatus includes a basin for retaining fluid, a removable foot rest plate positioned within the basin, an impeller, and a motor coupled to the impeller to create a high pressure zone in the basin underneath the foot rest plate. The foot rest plate may be made of a plastic material. A seal is provided between the foot rest plate and the basin such that the seal is maintained even if the foot rest plate is deflected or distorted by the water pressure underneath it.
