  • Patent number: 10585333
Abstract: A sealed dome light assembly for an inspection system includes a substantially dome-shaped upper housing, an annular lower housing, a plurality of light sources, and an annular cover. The upper housing includes an annular lower flange and an aperture through an apex of the upper housing. The lower housing includes a plurality of spaced light seats disposed within the lower housing. Each of the plurality of light sources is mounted within a respective one of the plurality of light seats and recessed below an upper surface of the lower housing. The cover covers the lower housing, and the cover and the lower housing define a sealed interface therebetween to provide a water-tight sealed enclosure to protect the light sources disposed within the lower housing.

  • Patent number: 8058815
Abstract: LED drivers and LED driver controllers are disclosed for controlling one or more high-intensity LEDs. The LED driver controllers may control one or more LED drivers in multiple different ways, including controlling on times, off times, delays, current levels, and other parameters. The LED drivers may have fast response times in which the LEDs are illuminated within microseconds after receiving a control signal. The LED drivers may also include other features, including a current boost for temporarily illuminating the LEDs at levels exceeding their maximum continuous current rating, as well as brightness controls for the LEDs, and other features. The LED drivers and/or LED driver controllers may be especially suitable for LEDs used to provide lighting for high-speed visions systems.

  • Patent number: 6916049
Abstract: A pipe coupling for joining two sections of pipe provides six degrees of freedom where the pipe coupling includes an inlet portion, an outlet portion disposed opposite the inlet portion, and an intermediate portion disposed between the inlet and outlet portions for providing relative movement between the inlet portion and the outlet portion. The intermediate portion has a plurality of corrugations disposed about a circumference of the pipe coupling and each corrugation includes first and second arms diverging from a common vertex toward the inlet portion and outlet portion, respectively. The arms diverge at substantially a forty-five degree angle forming a V-shape, and each arm terminates at a transition area where each arm of the corrugation blends with the inlet portion and outlet portion, respectively.

  • Patent number: 6875926
Abstract: A compression-expandable plug provides lateral expansion of an elastomeric gasket to seal around mini-tubes within an optical fiber duct, the mini-tubes containing optical fibers. The compression-expandable plug includes an elastomeric gasket having longitudinal passages configured to be positioned around optical-fiber-containing mini-tubes in an optical fiber duct and means for longitudinally compressing the gasket thereby laterally expanding it to exert sealing pressure around the mini-tubes and between the mini-tubes and the duct. A means for limiting the longitudinal compression applied to the gasket to limit the sealing pressure to a level selected to limit damage to the optical fibers may be provided.
