  • Publication number: 20240114834
Abstract: A harvester row unit includes first and second deck plates having first and second stripping edges which are facing and spaced apart for defining a stalk gap therebetween, first and second gathering chains extending over the deck plates and comprising a plurality of sweeping lugs which traverse adjacent to and along the stalk gap, and one or more kernel brushes secured to the sweeping lugs by fasteners. The kernel brushes can include brush bodies, sweeping portions secured to the brush bodies, and mounting blocks. The sweeping lugs can include lug walls wherein the brush bodies and mounting blocks sandwich the lug walls. Preferably, the kernel brushes are secured to the sweeping lugs by nuts and bolts, and the brush bodies and/or mounting blocks include fastener bores adapted to receive the bolts and fastener slots adapted receive and align the nuts with the fastener bores.

  • Publication number: 20240114837

The stalk gap rails include a ramped leading end and a trailing end, and the sweeping lugs climb up the ramped leading end, traverse across the stalk gap rails, and climb down the trailing end, and/or include support pads and pockets between adjacent support pads defining one or more flexible walls which deform when impacted by kernel carriers.

  • Patent number: 11953516
Abstract: The present invention is a self-disengaging pitot tube cover having a split cylinder configuration and an internal release mechanism, which is triggered by a temperature sensitive mechanism upon detecting a predetermined temperature so that the pitot tube cover separates and is released from the pitot tube at a predetermined temperature.

  • Publication number: 20230333136
Abstract: The present invention is a self-disengaging pitot tube cover which is constituted by at least two separable sections where separation of the sections is controlled by temperature sensing and effected by an SMA latch holding the sections together; so that the sections separate from the pitot tube when a particular temperature condition inside the pitot tube occurs.

  • Patent number: 11740257
Abstract: A self-disengaging pitot tube cover which is a longitudinally segmented substantially cylindrical structure constituted by at least two separable segments where separation of at least two segments is controlled by temperature sensing and effected by a fusible link holding two adjacent segments together; so that the separated segments lose hold on the pitot tube, when a particular temperature of the pitot tube is reached.
