Abstract: Approving financing for a sale. At least some of the illustrative embodiments are methods including: receiving a request to approve a customer for a sale to be paid for with multiple payments over a sales period; collecting financial information of the customer; calculating a value indicative of willingness-to-pay, the calculating by a computer system, where the value indicative of willingness-to-pay is calculated based on a proposed price of the sale and a value indicative of modified income of the customer; and then determining whether the customer is approved for the sale based on the value indicative of willingness-to-pay, the value indicative of modified income of the customer, and the financial information of the customer; and if the customer is approved determining terms of the sale.

Abstract: A method and system of check presentation. At least some of the illustrative embodiments are methods comprising accepting a first paper check and a second paper check in exchange for a good or service (the second paper check postdated), converting the first paper check and the second paper check into a first electronic request and a second electronic request respectively, presenting the first electronic request for payment through a funds transfer network, electronically storing the second electronic request, and then presenting the second electronic request for payment through the funds transfer network on the postdated date.
