    Abstract: A self-adhesive label comprising a self-adhesive base portion which is adhered by its self-adhesive surface to a backing of release material, a folded leaflet portion which is disposed over the base portion and a self-adhesive overlaminate portion which is adhered by its self-adhesive surface to a part of the top surface of the folded leaflet portion and to exposed parts of the top surface of the base portion on opposed sides of the folded leaflet portion so as to retain the leaflet portion in a folded configuration, the overlaminate portion exposing an end part of the folded leaflet portion whereby the end part can be pulled by user thereby to open the label. The invention also provides a method of producing such labels.

    Abstract: A method of producing a succession of self-adhesive labels on a length of release material, which method comprises the steps of:(a) applying a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive to a surface of a length of release material;(b) applying a succession of individual labels to the layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive so as to adhere the labels to the release material;(c) cutting through each of the labels and the layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive as far as the release material thereby to form the required self-adhesive labels; and(d) removing the waste portions of the applied labels and the waste portions of the pressure-sensitive adhesive which surround the self-adhesive labels from the release material. One of the webs is self-adhesive and is provided from pressure-sensitive stock which has had the release backing material removed.
