  • Publication number: 20230110145
Abstract: A bipolar amplification circuit has a control amplifier (101), a dependent current source (102) configured to supply current to an output terminal (104) and driven by an output from the control amplifier (101). A dependent current sink (103) is configured to receive current from the output terminal (104) and is also driven by the output from the control amplifier (101). The control amplifier includes an inverting input (105) and an input signal is supplied to this inverting input. A negative feedback signal of a first polarity is supplied to the inverting input from said dependent current source and a negative feedback signal of a second polarity is supplied to said inverting input from said dependent current sink.

  • Patent number: 4242665
Abstract: Disclosed is a two-wire transmitter which transmits information over a pair of wires having an external supply connected thereto. The transmitter receives its power from the pair of wires and stores a portion of this power during spaced apart first time intervals. This stored power is used to excite an external sensor during second time intervals that are substantially shorter than the first time intervals and which lie between respective ones of the first time intervals. The excitation response from the sensor is sampled and held in synchronization with this excitation. A variable resistance device is included for insertion in series with the pair of wires. This device is responsive to the held excitation response from the sensor to allow a current representative thereof to flow through the pair of wires.

  • Patent number: 4238965
Abstract: The disclosed transmitter operates in a two wire process control system to modify a loop current through the two wires that are representative of pressure drop through an orifice into a second loop current through the two wires that are representative of flow rate through the orifice. To accomplish this, the transmitter generates a first voltage that is representative of the first loop current. Then, it generates a second voltage proportional to the square root of the first voltage, and generates a third voltage proportional to the difference between the first and second voltages. The transmitter then sinks an additional current in the two wires proportional to the third voltage. The sum of the first loop current and the additional current equals the second loop current.

  • Patent number: 3941024
Abstract: An electronic organ includes digital circuitry for automatically enabling in a sequential manner a plurality of gates to pass tone control signals to keyers which generate corresponding tone output signals. The digital circuitry includes a tone counter which sequentially enables a plurality of tone gates, and an octave counter which sequentially enables output gates having inputs from the tone gates. A clock generates clock pulses which are rapidly counted by the note counter to sequentially scan the note gates. When a tone control signal is passed, the output of a note detector causes a divider to be inserted between the clock and the note counter to maintain enabling of the note counter.
