Abstract: An apparatus, method, and article of manufacture for enhancing navigation of an on-line multiple-resource information service is disclosed. A navigation agent is selectively activated by a user when navigating through the on-line information service, such as the Internet, and effects recording of navigation information while the user navigates through the information service. The recorded navigation information may be categorized in a manner useful to the user and stored as part of a collection of categorized navigation information for later use. The navigation information recorded by the navigation agent may be formatted in the form of a navigation script representing computer input device information received from a user, information service address information received from the user or the information service, or a combination of this and other information associated with navigating through the information service.
