  • Patent number: 10743514
Abstract: A crate assembly includes a plurality of members defining an interior of the crate assembly, where the plurality of members includes a front, a back, a top, a bottom, a first side and a second side. A frame is formed in one of the plurality of members, the frame having a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires that define a door opening. A door is pivotally coupled to the frame about a pivot wire of the frame to move between an open position and a closed position. A latch assembly is pivotally coupled to a horizontal wire of the frame. The latch assembly includes a wire having a first end, a second end and a transverse portion, the wire forming a first portion defined between the first end and the transverse portion and a second portion defined between the second end and the transverse portion.

  • Patent number: 10738515
Abstract: A door assembly includes a frame having interconnected wires that define an opening for an animal to pass therethrough, and a door having interconnected wires and being coupled to the frame. A latch assembly has a handle structure and a pin. The handle structure is pivotable with respect to one of the door and the frame, and the pin is movable axially with respect to one of the door and the frame. A first wire of the plurality of wires of the frame forms a key hole assembly. The key hole assembly defines an aperture for receiving the pin when the door is in a latched position with respect to the frame. A tab assembly is formed by at least one wire of the door and is disposable behind at least one of the plurality of wires of the frame in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 10697213
Abstract: A door assembly for an animal enclosure includes a frame having a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires that defines an opening for an animal to pass therethrough and a door having a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires and being coupled to the frame. The door is disposable between a closed position and an open position. A latch assembly is coupled to either the door or frame, and removably couples the door to the frame in the closed position. A blocking member is coupled to the door and located between at least two adjacent wires of the plurality of interconnected wires of the door. The blocking member is disposed adjacent to the latch member such that a portion of the latch member is in contact with the blocking member in a rest position.

  • Patent number: 10660298
Abstract: A side of an animal enclosure including a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires, where the plurality of horizontal wires includes a top wire and a bottom wire, and the plurality of vertical wires includes a first end wire and a second end wire. A plurality of hooked ends are formed at the ends of either the plurality of horizontal wires or the plurality of vertical wires. The top wire, the bottom wire, the first end wire, and the second end wire define an outer periphery of the first member, and the plurality of hooked ends extend beyond the outer periphery defined by the top wire, the bottom wire, the first end wire, and the second end wire. The top wire, bottom wire, first end wire and second end wire do not form a hooked end at any of their respective ends.

  • Publication number: 20200068842
Abstract: A door assembly for an animal enclosure includes a door frame and a door each having a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires. The door frame defines an opening for an animal to pass therethrough, and the door is slidably coupled to the door frame such that it moves between an open position and a closed position relative to the door frame to allow egress and ingress through the opening. A catch member is coupled to the door frame. A latch includes a base member, a bolt, and a lever portion. A first vertical wire and a second vertical wire of the door are spaced from one another such that the first vertical wire is at a first end of the door and the second vertical wire is at a second end of the door. In the closed position, the bolt is coupled to the first vertical wire.
