    Abstract: A mainspring holder has a body portion to which is mounted a handle disposed at one end and a mount for rotatably holding a coiled spring thereon. The mainspring holder is capable of being moved relative to a support to unravel an otherwise coiled length of spring having its free end secured to the support so that the coil may be cleaned and greased while in its extended condition.
