  • Patent number: 9299210
Abstract: A pharmaceutical dispensing system includes: a frame having first and second opposed sides; a plurality of bins configured to house pharmaceutical tablets, each of the bins being accessible from the first side of the frame for replenishment of pharmaceutical tablets; and a plurality of chutes, each of the chutes connected to and associated with a respective one of the plurality of bins, each of the chutes being accessible from the second side of the frame for dispensing of pharmaceutical tablets. A system of this configuration can facilitate operation by physically separating replenishment tasks from dispensing tasks, thereby enabling these tasks to be performed simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 8777055
Abstract: A passive chute assembly includes: a chute configured to receive objects to be dispensed, the chute having an outlet; and a passive dispensing unit attached to the chute outlet. The passive dispensing unit has a staging portion, wherein objects are captured prior to dispensing. The staging portion is movable between a staging position, in which objects may be captured within the staging portion, and a dispensing position, in which the objects may be fed gravimetrically into a receptacle positioned below the dispensing unit. The staging portion includes an adaptive opening that, when the staging portion moves to the dispensing position, opens adaptively corresponding to a diameter of the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 5450884
Abstract: A multi-compartment spout for a fuel dispensing nozzle includes a cylindrical, longitudinally extending outer wall, and at least one interior, longitudinally extending dividing wall. The dividing wall defines a fuel passageway within the spout which communicates with a fuel passageway in the body of the nozzle for dispensing fuel into the fuel tank of a vehicle, and a vapor recovery passageway within the spout which communicates with a vapor recovery passageway in the body of the nozzle for returning fuel vapor to an underground tank and thereby preventing the vapor from escaping into the atmosphere. In a preferred embodiment, the spout includes another interior longitudinally extending dividing wall which defines a shut-off passageway within the spout which communicates with a venturi-vacuum chamber in the nozzle for automatically shutting off the flow of fuel through the nozzle when the vehicle fuel tank is full.
