  • Patent number: 4720231
Abstract: A transfer device is disclosed for moving objects that are supported on a shaft from a receiving station to a transfer station. The shafts are disposed in adjacent substantially parallel relationship. A track extends from the receiving station to the transfer station. Moveable lifting hooks are positioned on the track. The lifting means is disposed for engaging the shafts so that the shafts and the objects supported thereon can be transferred from the receiving station to the transfer station. Each lifting hook is independently moveable to engage the shafts and the lifting hooks are moveable along the track so that the shafts and the objects supported thereon can be lifted and transported from the receiving station to the transfer station.

  • Patent number: 4610592
Abstract: An improved downender assembly and method for using the assembly is disclosed. The improved downender apparatus has a load receiving member which is rotatable from a horizontal orientation for receiving unit loads from a conveyor assembly to a vertical orientation for placing the unit loads in a vertically stacked position. The end member of the downender assembly is pivotally movable from beneath the vertically stacked units and flexes to maintain parallel and flush contact with the bottom of such units, thereby preventing unnecessary damage to the units.

  • Patent number: 4264069
Abstract: Therapeutic apparatus comprising a supporting base adapted to rest on a floor or similar surface and including three arm members each releasably connected at one end to an arcuate connecting member at spaced locations therealong, all disposed in substantially the same place. The arm members define angles therebetween, the sizes of which are indicated visually by elements spaced along the connecting member. A number of pole elements are associated with the arm members each being releasably connected at one end to an arm member and all the pole elements extending in the same direction at substantially right angles to the arm members. The person using the apparatus is positioned adjacent the connecting element, the arm members are connected to the arcuate members so as to define an included angle related to the field of vision of the person, and the person performs instructional and therapeutic activities using the pole elements and other parts associated therewith.
