  • Patent number: 6692333
Abstract: A toy vehicle has front and rear chassis portions and a flipping mechanism which allows the front chassis portion to rotate 360 degrees with respect to the rear chassis portion about a longitudinal axis. The flipping mechanism includes a triggering mechanism, a rotational drive mechanism and a mechanism to prevent damage to a main spring which drives the rotational motion of the front chassis relative to the rear chassis. The toy vehicle may be remote controlled, and include a remote control transmitter. One remote control transmitter includes a left hand and a right hand portion, with the two portions being pivotable with respect to one another to activatea control switch.

  • Patent number: 5994853
Abstract: A remote-control vehicle includes a controller that produces a pulse-width modulated (PWM) motor control signal and a forward/reverse motor control signal in response to a transmitted digital signal specifying one of a multiplicity of speed control states, each of which has a direction and a PWM duty cycle associated therewith. A MOSFET switch turns on and off in response to the PWM signal to control the flow of current between a battery and a motor to thereby control the speed of the motor. A relay, coupled between the battery and the motor, switches in response to the forward/reverse signal to change the direction of current flow through the motor to thereby control the direction of the motor.

  • Patent number: 5921843
Abstract: A remote controlled, all-terrain toy vehicle has treads on both its left and right sides. Each tread extends over front and rear oversized, resilient wheels that allow the vehicle to travel on its top and bottom sides in forward and reverse. The vehicle is adapted for high performance on hard, flat surfaces, such as pavement, as a result of an elevated ridge on the tread that ensures low surface area contact with the ground and, which in turn, reduces ground resistance and increases the operating speed of the vehicle.
