  • Publication number: 20240370842
Abstract: A system and method for using user-selected transactions preferences stored on a payment card in a transaction includes transmitting a cold reset signal to the payment card. An answer-to-reset message is received from the payment card. The answer-to-reset message includes governing rules for performing a transaction, including user-selected transaction preferences data associated with one or more user-selected transaction preferences for performing the transaction. The process also includes receiving payment account details for a payment account associated with the payment card. A payment authorization request message is transmitted to an interchange network. The request message includes one or more data elements associated with the user-selected transaction preferences data. A payment authorization request response message is then received from the interchange network, based on the transaction preferences. One or more of the user-selected transaction preferences is then executed.

  • Patent number: 12067576
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for isolating transaction records having deficient standard data elements. The method may include: acquiring a first transaction record corresponding to a transactional entity, the first transaction record including a set of standard data fields in a first state; acquiring a second transaction record corresponding to the transactional entity, the second transaction record including the set of standard data fields in a second state; analyzing the first state and the second state to identify a deficiency of the standard data fields of one or both of the first transaction record and the second transaction record, the deficiency corresponding to a misclassification of an installment payment transaction of the transactional entity; and storing a record of the misclassification, the record identifying one or both of the first transaction record and the second transaction record.

  • Publication number: 20230362679
Abstract: A thermal management controller can be used to alter an operation associated with a network device when a temperature associated with a radio of the network device increases beyond a temperature threshold. A threshold is associated with a state of a plurality of states of the network device. As the temperature increases the thermal management controller to determine whether a current temperature exceeds a temperature threshold associated with the current state of the network device. Based on the determination, the thermal management controller can alter an operation based on the current state and an outcome of the determination. Altering the operation can cause the current temperature to decrease so that the network device can revert to a previous state, for example, a normal or default operation.

  • Publication number: 20230358246
Abstract: A fan controller for fan of an electronic device can provide dynamic acoustic-based fan control so as to maintain a fan speed so as not to exceed an acoustic threshold. The fan controller can receive one or more temperature measurements associated with the electronic device and can based on these one or more temperature measurements determine an operational temperature of the electronic device. By dynamically and independently controlling the fan speed of a fan of the electronic device based on a determined operational temperature and the acoustic threshold, the electronic device can operate without exceeding the set acoustic threshold while maintaining the operational temperature so as prevent damage to one or more elements of the electronic device.

In an embodiment, an EPD device is provided with a number of internal LEDs or other suitable light source generally disposed along at least a portion of the display perimeter. The light can be activated in situations where the available ambient light is inadequate for viewing the display. Light from the light source is distributed across the display, and in some embodiments, can be adjusted to provide a desired degree of brightness. The light can be turned on or off via an existing single press-button or otherwise tactile, physical user interface that serves multiple functions. This user interface can be readily found and engaged by the user without the benefit of sight.
