  • Publication number: 20160016295
Abstract: A special tool that can engage and manipulate a Jeep mounting screw commonly known as “Jeep Wrangler Hardtop Freedom Top Targa Mounting Knob Screw” Embodiments may include a handle that can contain indentations or ribs totally or partially extending its length for better grip. The handle abuts a flat head. A pair of screw engagement members are mounted on the flat head, separated, and spaced apart a pre-determined distance. The center region between the engagement members can be part of the flat head. Each engagement member is arc-shaped, or semi-circular in cross-section to fit into the knob screw head. The two engagement members are typically mounted in opposition and each extends approximately ? the circumference of the head. This arrangement allows perfect engagement with the Jeep mount screw.

  • Patent number: 9053866
Abstract: An improved solid electrolytic capacitor and method of forming a solid electrolytic capacitor is described. The method includes forming an anode comprising a valve metal or conductive oxide of a valve metal wherein an anode lead extension protrudes from the anode. A dielectric is formed on the anode and a cathode layer is formed on the dielectric. The anode, dielectric, and cathode layer are encased in a non-conducting material and the anode lead extension is exposed outside of the encasement at a side surface. A conductive metal layer is adhered to the anode lead extension which allows termination preferably by electrically connecting a preformed solid metal terminal, most preferably an L shaped terminal, to the conductive metal layer at the side surface.

  • Publication number: 20140156266
Abstract: The present invention is a text display system with speech output that uses a method of text segmentation in which segments of text are presented one after another for reading text sequentially. To indicate the location of text a user is currently reading, the current sentence is emphasized by presenting the surrounding text in faded colors. The current sentence is segmented into phrases where the points of segmentation are chosen by a series of grammatical rules and the desired number of words in each segment. When the text is presented sequentially, each segment is highlighted within the current sentence. With the use of a text-to-speech output system, each segment is spoken out with a pause before the next segment is presented. In a non-linear/selective reading scenario, a user can select a text segment, for which the span of the segment can be automatically generated or manually selected by the user.

  • Publication number: 20140143664
Abstract: A text display system provides a restricted copy-and-paste operation such that only a limited percentage less than 100% of a source text can be copied. The strategy assumes that a document contains a plurality of words and sentences that a restriction can be placed upon. While it is possible to highlight any amount of text via a typical select function (e.g., mouse drag over text), depending on the number of words at the sentence, paragraph or document level, the present invention limits how much of the selected text can be copied. The system provides the user with instant feedback via visual, tactile or other means, when a selection exceeds the system-imposed limit. The restriction permits the copy-and-paste operation of key ideas from the source text, potentially for further elaboration upon in future writing, and yet discourages indiscriminant copying leading to plagiarism.
