    Abstract: A method for power generation from carbonaceous feedstock comprising the steps of: gasifying the feedstock in a gasification unit to produce synthesis gas; passing a first portion of the synthesis gas to a power generation unit; passing a second portion of the synthesis gas to a chemical plant; condensing at least a portion of at least one gas stream produced; revaporising at least a portion of the at least one condensed gas stream; and wherein the step of revaporising at least a portion of the at least one condensed gas stream permits the power used in the step of condensing at least a portion of at least one gas stream to be recovered.
