  • Publication number: 20180340304
Abstract: An apparatus for extracting a paver stone, and the like from a preset position, including a pair of lifting plates having a body containing one or more lifting aid insertion openings at one end, and at an opposing end, a blade portion having substantially concave tabs with tab edges formed along a pair of slots terminating in one or more of stress relief openings between the body and the blade, wedging a first blade between the paver and a first adjacent paver and wedging a second blade at an opposing end of a paver and a second adjacent paver, substantially compressing the tabs storing spring energy in the blades, pushing the tab edges below the bottom plane of the paver, releasing the stored spring energy thereby substantially decompressing and re-forming the tabs such that the tab edges contact and engage the underside of the paver to be extracted.

  • Patent number: 9410308
Abstract: A shower arm leak detection device with adjustable sleeves is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, the shower arm leak detection device includes a tubular sleeve having a first end and a second end, where the first end is adapted to be secured over a drop ear 90° plumbing fitting on an interior side of a wall and the second end is adapted to be open to an exterior side of the wall. The drop ear 90° fitting includes a port adapted to be secured to a shower arm, where a connection at the port and threading of the shower arm is susceptible to leakage. An outer sleeve is adapted to slide partially over the tubular sleeve, where the outer sleeve allows for adjustment to the width between the connection of the port and the shower arm and the exterior side of the wall in telescoping fashion.

  • Publication number: 20160209347
Abstract: A pollution detection circuit and a pollution detection method for data lines are provided. The pollution detection circuit and the method detect an impedance of at least one data terminal for detecting the pollution occurring at the data terminal or the data lines. The pollution occurring at the data terminal or the data lines is confirmed when the impedance is low.

  • Publication number: 20150040350
Abstract: An anti-rattle sleeve that includes a retention feature on a split end that extends radially from the body portion and a slot configured to allow the retention feature to be pressed through an opening. The sleeve also includes a flange portion opposite the split end that includes an inner bump configured to contact a surface of an object bracket and an outer bump configured to contact a surface of a mounting bracket. The inner bump and the outer bump are located relative to the slot such that the sleeve is deformed by the brackets in a manner effective to reduce relative motion between the object bracket and the mounting bracket when compressed between the brackets.

  • Publication number: 20140091969
Abstract: A radome for a radar sensor that includes a first and second section. Each section is formed of layers that have an electrical thickness substantially equal to an integer multiple of a guided half-wavelengths of the radar beam. Each of the sections are configured such that, at a location spaced apart from the radome, a first phase angle of the first portion of the radar beam differs from a second phase angle of the second portion of the radar beam by an amount substantially corresponding to an integer number of three hundred sixty degrees (360°) of phase angle shift.

  • Patent number: 7316229
Abstract: The general concept of this invention is to utilize the high efficiency of heat transfer that is obtained by allowing the exhausting gas from the burner to come into intimate contact with the liquid to be heated. A housing adapted for partial immersion in the liquid of the tank and has an internal liquid heating chamber and defines inlet and outlet openings. A burner tube is supported within the housing and extends into the liquid and provides a combustion gas discharge opening. A burner assembly having a supply of combustible gas and air is in communication with the burner tube and has a burner nozzle being positioned to direct a flame into the burner tube. The burner tube has sufficient length for substantially complete combustion of a gas/air mixture within said burner tube and to discharge hot combustion gas into the liquid within said internal liquid heating chamber. The flame and hot combustion gas efficiently heat the liquid circulating through the chamber via the inlet and outlet openings.

  • Publication number: 20040060394
Abstract: A method and apparatus for substantially smoke free separation and recovery of zinc from galvanizing skimmings and for refining the resulting ash to a by-product form. An essentially closed housing defining a skimmings receiving chamber and a skimmings processing chamber with a bottom opening is placed on or above a galvanizing kettle and extends into the molten zinc of the kettle so that molten zinc is present with a skimmings processing chamber. A motor driven agitator shaft having paddles is rotated within the skimmings processing chamber so that the ends of the paddles enter the molten zinc during each shaft revolution and enhance melting and recovery of the zinc.

  • Patent number: 5985365
Abstract: An automated method and apparatus for galvanizing threaded rods, comprising conveying threaded rods while horizontally oriented through a bath of molten zinc, then simultaneously spinning the threaded rods in horizontal orientation at sufficient rotational velocity to remove excess molten zinc therefrom by centrifugal force and conveying the threaded rods to a cooling bath. The automated apparatus then conveys the zinc coated threaded rods through a cooling bath to solidify the molten zinc coating and then collects cooled zinc coated threaded rods to permit efficient removal thereof from the apparatus. A rotary conveyor mechanism of the automated apparatus conveys the threaded rods through a molten zinc bath and removes excess molten zinc therefrom by rolling the coated threaded rods down an inclined zinc removal platform.
