The service also verifies the geographic locations of the servers based on network information associated with the sending of the data. One exemplary technique involves receiving data that includes geographic location identifiers that identify the geographic locations of the servers. The technique further involves verifying the geographic locations of the servers based on geographic locations associated with Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of network locations from which the data was sent.
