  • Publication number: 20060265625
Abstract: A system and method for detecting trends in time-managed lifetime data for products shipped in distinct vintages within a time window. Data is consolidated from several sources and represented in a form amenable to detection of trends using a criterion for measuring failure. A weight is applied to the failure measures, the weight increasing over the time the products are in the time window. A function of weighted failures is used to define a severity index for proximity to an unacceptable level of failures, and an alarm signal is triggered at a threshold level that allows the level of false alarms to be pre-set.

  • Publication number: 20060156285
Abstract: A virtual display driver that can be dynamically loaded and unloaded for remote control of a host computing system. The host computing system includes an original display driver that updates an output display of the computing system based on display commands. A remote control executive executes in kernel-mode within an operating environment provided by the computing system and dynamically loads and unloads the virtual display driver as requested by a user. The remote control executive inserts hooks within the functions provided by the original display driver to trap the display commands received by the original display driver and direct the commands to the virtual display driver for communication to a remote client computer.

  • Publication number: 20060112073
Abstract: Design and deployment of an interface for a data processing application is facilitated by a tool, preferably implemented in software, which parses a description of data to form a hierarchy of groups of selector, terminal and intermediate attributes, including generation of attributes through specification of analyses of data, to develop an interface building program which, when executed, builds an interface for the data processing application. The attributes of the hierarchy are configured into layers, analyses are selected and/or specified, interface display pages are configured and global controls are specified using the tool. Markers having freely definable visual attributes and properties corresponding to analysis results such as return codes provide a condensed display which also facilitates access to data nested beneath each marker.
