Publication number: 20240115882Abstract: Devices, systems and techniques are used for cancer treatment. An example control device may be configured to be communicatively coupled to a radiation source of a radiotherapy device and a position sensor of the radiotherapy device. The example control device may be used to calculate, for a sliding window of a radiotherapy treatment, a positional error between: a measured target position signal determined from a series of images and sampled at the acquisition times of the images, and an estimated target position signal. The example control device may generate a computer-executable instruction configured to alter the radiotherapy treatment in response to the positional error violating a threshold.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 28, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Inventors: Joshua Freedman, Fabienne Lathuiliere, Kevin John Brown, David Roberts, Sebastien Tremblay

Patent number: 6916148Abstract: A load handling vehicle having an operator's position, a power operated load handler including a boom pivotally mounted at a front end of the vehicle and at least front and rear pairs of ground engaging wheels with one wheel of each pair on each side of the vehicle. At least one pair of wheels is power driven. The operator's position is offset to one side of the pivotal mount for the boom. The operator's position may include a seat which can be moved between a first position on a longitudinal center line of the vehicle and a second position to one side of the vehicle center line.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2001Date of Patent: July 12, 2005Assignee: J. Patent number: 6851915Abstract: The subject of the invention is a load handling device for an industrial truck having a lift frame, a lift carriage which can be displaced along the lift frame, and a reach carriage guided so as to move on the lift carriage. A load pick-up device is arranged on the reach carriage. According to the invention, the lift carriage is guided on the outer sides of the lift frame by rollers, and the reach carriage is guided on the outer sides of the lift carriage. In order to displace the reach carriage, a hydraulic reach cylinder is provided on each side of the lift frame and is fixed at one end to the lift carriage and at the other end to the reach carriage.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2002Date of Patent: February 8, 2005Assignee: Linde AktiengesellschaftInventors: Barry Michael Warner, David John Brown

Patent number: 6567814Abstract: A computer-based method and apparatus for knowledge discovery from databases. The disclosed method involves the user creation of a project plan comprising a plurality of operational components adapted to cooperatively extract desired information from a database. In one embodiment, the project plan is created within a graphical user interface and consists of objects representing the various functional components of the overall plan interconnected by links representing the flow of data from the data source to a data sink. Data visualization components may be inserted essentially anywhere in the project plan. One or more data links in the project plan may be designated as caching links which maintain copies of the data flowing across them, such that the cached data is available to other components in the project plan. In one embodiment, compression technology is applied to reduce the overall size of the database.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1999Date of Patent: May 20, 2003Assignee: thinkAnalytics LtdInventors: John Duncan Bankier, Charles Allan Beck, Andrew Craig Brind, David John Brown, Kristy Irene Brown, John Dominic Burns, Peter James Docherty, John Michael Gilchrist, Timothy Simon Jones, Gordon McIntyre, Alan John Ryman, William Wallace

Patent number: 5714077Abstract: An automatically-regulated, self-flushing method of filtering a liquid suspension includes passing the suspension through a granular filter material. The flow of suspension is halted to relieve the pressure in the system, so facilitating the settling of the removed particles down the filter. Further settling of the particles may be achieved by passing an airstream through the filter material. A reverse flow of the filtrate then effects a backwashing action on the filter material so that further settling of the particles is encouraged. The filter material may be contained in a drain passage which follows a generally sinuous path. The drain passage may serve a waste landfill site in which toxic, hazardous or domestic waste is disposed.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 1996Date of Patent: February 3, 1998Assignee: British Nuclear Fuels plcInventors: David John Brown, Stephen Geoffrey Higson
