  • Patent number: 6798387
Abstract: A secure non-penetrating flat roof mount, for a satellite antenna and for use with a ballast, having a base portion that itself has two ballast encasing members. Each of the ballast encasing members defines two different open end faces while, at the same time, substantially enclosing a separate portion of the ballast. The base portion also includes two end caps, with each end cap respectively engaging one open end face on each ballast encasing member. The roof mount is also provided with two tie rods that hold the end caps in place, and in encasing relation, so as to encase the ballast in use. The roof mount also has an antenna supporting member that securely engages the base portion. The antenna supporting member has a sleeve portion that has sockets that in turn accept complementary fasteners in throughpassing relation, so as to secure an antenna mast within the sleeve portion.

  • Patent number: 6798858
Abstract: The present invention discloses a lock indicator circuit used to indicate a phase lock condition between logic signals. The lock indicator circuit uses a phase detector that generates a pulse width proportional to the phase difference between a reference signal and a feedback signal. Another circuit generates, on each positive edge of the reference and the feedback signals, pulses whose widths are primarily dependent on fixed delay elements. These fixed pulse determine a window in which the pulse from the phase detector will fall as the two signals approach phase lock. Phase lock is signaled by the logic AND of the window pulse and the phase detector pulse. Other circuitry generates a phase lock indication signal if the phase lock signal remains true for a number of consecutive transitions of the reference signal. Likewise a phase unlock indication signal is generated if after phase lock indication, phase unlock occurs and remains for a number of consecutive transitions of the reference signal.

  • Patent number: 6798992
Abstract: A device and method for detecting rotational drift of mirror elements in a MEMS tilt mirror array used in an optical crossconnect. The optical crossconnect directs optical signals from an input fiber to an output fiber along an optical path by rotatably positioning mirror elements in desired positions. A monitoring device disposed outside of the optical path is used to obtain images of the MEMS array or to transmit and receive a test signal through the crossconnect for detecting the presence of mirror element drift.

  • Patent number: 6798254
Abstract: A reference voltage is moved dynamically towards a voltage level of the last received value. The movement takes place over a predetermined fraction of a bit-time. The amount of movement is limited so that successive logical values don't result in an unusable reference voltage level. When the output of a receiver changes, a state machine sequences the selection of analog reference voltage inputs to a multiplexer to move an output reference voltage towards a steady-state signal voltage level for the value that was just received. When the sequence is complete, the state machine keeps the last value selected on the output until the output of the receiver changes value.

  • Publication number: 20040183769
Abstract: A graphics digitizer having a phase-locked-loop, a timing generator, and at least one channel with a reference and bias voltage generator and an analog-to-digital converter is disclosed. In some embodiments, the phase-locked-loop includes a programmable Div/N circuit so that the output frequency of the signal generated by the phase-locked-loop is programmable. In some embodiments, the timing generator generates a HSOUT video signal in response to the HSYNC video signal by sampling the HSYNC video signal with a phase adaptively chosen in response to a programmable phase between the signal generated by the phase-locked-loop and the HSYNC video signal. In some embodiments of the invention the reference and bias voltage generates a reference voltage determined by a digital-to-analog conversion of a value stored in a programmable gain register and generates a bias voltage proportionally to the reference voltage by a current digital-to-analog conversion of a value stored in a programmable offset register.

  • Patent number: 6791587
Abstract: A navigation manager component cooperable with a user interface renderer is described. The navigation manager manages one or more navigation units and maintains a navigation unit cursor. Each navigation unit is associated with another navigation unit managed by the same navigation manager. The navigation manager provides a range of navigation services, which operate upon the navigation unit cursor. These services include a service to navigate forwards and a service to navigate backwards. These services take into account the associations between navigation units in order to determine the correct sequence of navigation units for forwards and backwards navigation. The services also determine whether the items represented by each navigation unit include eligible items or items for which data entry is incomplete. In this way, navigation units for which all the items represented by the navigation unit are ineligible can be passed over by the navigation services, to that they never become current.
