  • Patent number: 12603898
Abstract: Methods and systems for intrusion detection using federated learning. In some examples, a system includes a central server configured for generating an initial security model and distributing the initial security model to edge nodes. Each edge node is configured for executing an intrusion detection system. The system includes a first subset of edge nodes each of which is configured for training a respective local security model using captured security data during live operation. The system includes a second subset of edge nodes each of which is not configured for training a local security model. The system includes fog nodes, each fog node being on a communications path between at least one edge node and the central server. At least a first fog node is configured for training a respective local security model for one or more of the edge nodes from the second subset of edge nodes.

  • Patent number: 12584175
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system and method for increasing the fidelity of measured genetic data, for making allele calls, and for determining the state of aneuploidy, in one or a small set of cells, or from fragmentary DNA, where a limited quantity of genetic data is available. Poorly or incorrectly measured base pairs, missing alleles and missing regions are reconstructed using expected similarities between the target genome and the genome of genetically related individuals. In accordance with one embodiment, incomplete genetic data from an embryonic cell are reconstructed at a plurality of loci using the more complete genetic data from a larger sample of diploid cells from one or both parents, with or without haploid genetic data from one or both parents. In another embodiment, the chromosome copy number can be determined from the measured genetic data, with or without genetic information from one or both parents.

  • Publication number: 20260077131
Abstract: A medical syringe system comprising a cylindrical barrel, plunger, and plunger end stop. The plunger is configured for moving axially inside the barrel to increase and decrease the internal volume of the barrel. The end stop is configured for preventing unintended extraction of the plunger from the barrel and for rotationally coupling the plunger to the barrel throughout the entire length of travel of the plunger inside the barrel. In one embodiment, the plunger end stop comprises a two-piece assembly that fits completely around the exterior circumference of the barrel with four prongs that extent through apertures in the barrel to engage with a minimum of two ribs of the shaft of the plunger.

  • Publication number: 20260071834
Abstract: A firearm system is provided. A pump-action firearm, such as a shotgun, includes a buffer attached to a trigger housing. The buffer consists of a resilient or semi-resilient material and is positioned such as to face towards an opening the receiver in which the magazine tube is partially received. The buffer includes a contoured bottom surface and an upper surface, configured in a way which shortens the space available within an opening of a receiver while accommodating the loading of shells into a magazine tube. Upon moving a shell into the opening, such as by pumping the action, the shell impacts the buffer, which stabilizes the shell prior to being lifted by an elevators. For shorter shells, this reduces the risk of a jamming event. For longer shells, the buffer is configured to compress to accommodate the additional length.

  • Patent number: 12571043
Abstract: A system and method for determining the genetic data for one or a small set of cells, or from fragmentary DNA, where a limited quantity of genetic data is available, are disclosed. Genetic data for the target individual is acquired and amplified using known methods, and poorly measured base pairs, missing alleles and missing regions are reconstructed using expected similarities between the target genome and the genome of genetically related subjects. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, incomplete genetic data is acquired from embryonic cells, fetal cells, or cell-free fetal DNA isolated from the mother's blood, and the incomplete genetic data is reconstructed using the more complete genetic data from a larger sample diploid cells from one or both parents, with or without genetic data from haploid cells from one or both parents, and/or genetic data taken from other related individuals.

  • Publication number: 20260043620
Abstract: A Johnson Electric Heat Pipe direct heat to electricity converter includes a housing containing a wick, a vapor exchange recuperator, a two-phase working fluid, an ionizable non-condensable gas, preferably hydrogen or oxygen, and an electrochemical cell. The heat pipe is coupled to a heat source and a heat sink. The gas phase of the two-phase working fluid and the non-condensable gas exist at partial pressures within a constant pressure system. Heat from the source evaporates two-phase working fluid resulting in low partial pressure of non-condensable gas. Heat rejected to the heat sink condenses working fluid, resulting in high partial pressure non-condensable gas. The non-condensable gas partial pressure differential is applied across the electrochemical cell whereby non-condensable gas expands through the electrochemical cell and generates electrical energy.

  • Patent number: 12341362
Abstract: A laptop computer storage system includes a power delivery system configured to negotiate charging Power Delivery Objects (PDOs) with each laptop computer connected to the computer storage system. The charging power delivery objects specify, for each laptop computer, the voltage and amount of current to be supplied to the particular laptop computer. Different charging power delivery objects are individually negotiated, and the computer storage system monitors the total amount of power being drawn by the connected set of laptop computers. As new laptop computers are connected to the computer storage system, power delivery objects that would cause the computer storage system to exceed a maximum power threshold are not presented to the newly connected laptop computer. As laptop computers become fully charged, the amount of current being drawn by the charged laptops will decrease, thus enabling additional charging power to be provided to other laptops within the computer storage system.
